never seen the horse race is it any good? looks to have the right credentials. dawn approach seems to the obvious danger, its done a lot of racing already.
everything in the race has no chance, going on the betting markets as evidence. does anyone have a good argument as to why kingsbarns is beatble or any other horses to study as possible dangers. thanks.

Well 'ROADRUNNER' all I say is check the going for both Kingbarns runs ... also NB his stablemate Mars who was not run on soft ground last year. Ask yourself WHY ??? Recent support in the Derby market makes me feel that my Ante Post voucher is looking good !

will have look at that thanks, derby betting markets have been very reliable in last few years, they have not over raced kingsbarns, its following a pattern of recent winners, its profile suggests a win.only just started looking at the race, don't know much about the runners.goodluck

mars has done nothing yet, could be their best chance.youd be guessing and hoping its the winner at the moment. where as kingsbarns has already got a group 1 and market leader in the betting, wouldnt worry about the ground for the fav, sure its even better on good to firm or good ground. its logical mars would find supporters in the betting if its overpriced, reasons bloodlines and the trainer. im against dawn approach on initial thoughts, think its been over raced to be a real derby contender, ive not totally dismissed its chances yet. goodluck

Well if its won Group 1 and its market leader it must win !
A couple of days ago you hadn't seen it race but now you are sure it'll be better on faster ground. Laughable stuff

don't think it takes a lot of time to do the derby form, guess that's why some people only bet in these types of races, don't watch a lot of races,i bet mostly on the all weather and flat. alot of those races are not worth watching.

Dawn Approach will not line up for the Derby (Nap) Jim Bolger does not have him down as a 12f horse and thinks that he will stay 9f possibly 10f....Highly unlikely that opinion will change plus the horse would be too keen over anything beyond 10f.
Kingsbarns looks the likely one to rule supreme. I don`t see why g/f ground would bother him one bit.

would you rate Kingsbarn RP trophy as high standard VS other years? Look at AOB's previous winners. Saragota Springs, Aristole, High Chap, Brian Boru, St Nic Abbey and Camelot. High Chap turned out to be a supreme athlete and Camelot was amazing to have the speed to win the Guineas. Does Kingsbarn look more special than High Chap or Camelot.
In my opinion, Kingsbarn is too short gicen he started out late (after sept).
As a AOB derby type id be in the Kinsbarn camp if he had been out earlier then taken the Beresford(camelot was kept from it by a stone bruise i think) then RP.
Im a Stoute fan and i like his relaxed approach, im happy with T coming second on hsi debute as he learned loads and his maiden win was ultra slick.
JSB's Loch Gorman might be much better option than Kingsbarn with exact same race profile, maiden winner and 7days later Group 1 win in France despite being VERY green.
And if Mars wins the Derby or Guineas il never post the betfair forum again.

your well informed, don't know what your talking about. kingsbarns looks the real deal. don't delve into all the little details of preperations, just profiled it and looks the sensible betting option.

okay road, re-watch the RP and for me the real star was Joey, he was the star in the race, he got him out quick tucked him behind the front racing Trading leather, so got no headwind, waited till others started to row and then he kicked and no one was catching him, Kingsbarn is a Group 1 preformer no doubt but his price is too small and will be similar price up until he goes to take a trail in april (most likely the Ballysax with a weight pen). id advise anyone who likes Kingsbarn to wait 2 months before puting up the cash.

thanks for advice,i usually concentrate around the winners of races and who they beat, don't read races like other people, find it more profitable this way, everyone has their way of working things out, will have look thanks.

to be profitable in AP racing its all about backing at the big price and trade out at the smallest price. the Kingsbarn ship has sailed for good prices. im regulary guilty of only trading out half my stake when i can but im greedy.

wouldn't disagree with that, Cheltenham in mind thought id put my derby selection forward, and anyone having bet could consider kingsbarns in antepost bets.dont bet antepost a lot, what price did you get on long run? I tipped it on here at just under 4/1 :)4 weeks before the race. you specialize in these type of bets, very wise to trade.

I souldnt say i specialize now, i lost big on Camelot in the Guineas last year.im very much in the camp that Sam waley Cohen is a liability and i think the horse is a serious game horse and would improove 15lbs for a different jockey. i dont think there is much room to trade on him at the moment with his price at 8.4, im on Bobs at 5.8 and i had hoped he'd have taken another race before Chelt, im prob stuck with but if the oppurtinity presents itself il only trade out half my stake. From where we are now all the big guns in the GC will shorten as the big firms go NRMB, the triumph hurdle and champ bumper are the races where their is value to be hard at the moment

Currently Dawn Approach is not an entry in the Derby and would have to be supplemented which is an obvious possibilty but it suggests the trainer does not want to go the Derby route.
