Will David Pipe pull off the training performance of his life to get Grands Crus to the King George VI Chase in 10 days time with a real chance ?
As David said, the horse will tell them when he's ready. It don't matter what the owners or trainer thinks.
Last time we heard that it was about another son of Dom Alco who came good at the last minute and Al Ferof stepped forward and duly obliged at Cheltenham.
I'm balls deep in a voucher at 6/1 for a large sum. I have a vested interest. I wouldn't be backing with counterfeit until confirmed though.
If he's good, he's 'back' at 100% then he's the winner. I see that as a 40/1 chance though to be honest.
wind operations are very common these days and there was plenty of time between the op and the race if that was the only problem. I myself invested heavily in anti post market and hope the horse gets to the course sound although as I already stated I believe the is other problems and that he is not the same horse as he was this time last year. without anything been publicly stated I assume something when wrong sometime between his run at Kempton and the Cheltenham festival. He had no run in between which is strange prep for a grade 1 novice. but thats only my opinion.

I'm sorry he stopped too quick and most pertinently to me too far out in the PP to be simply a wind issue.
I agree harchi if the horse that won the Feltham turns up he's close to being the winner but too much happened since

Their every waking moment at Pond House is going to be dedicated, absolutely dedicated, to getting him there if he is truly back. If not they won't run him.
Pipe on record as saying he's the best he has ever trained. Now that's high praise indeed and David Pipe isn't one to trot that sort of thing out without backing it up. One day he'll come back and prove this. It may not be Boxing Day but I sure hope it is. He made Conti, Ferof, Cue Card, Bobs Worth all look average last season. I simply can't have it that the horse is gone at the game, I genuinely think it's breathing. Bobs Worth had the same thing and he came back better than ever.

^ I was wondering that......incidentally, one thing sticks in my mind, wasn't the quote a few days after the PP something along the lines of " we've had him checked out and it appears he has a wind issue, I thought it was a strange turn of phrase

Hate this phrase - complete load of whatever imo.
Horse looks gone, not sure i'd want to back it even if apparent wind issue has been resolved. Where is statement "best he's ever trained" please? Also not sure his Feltham victory is as good as some people think. BW had breathing issue during the race, whilst Silviniaco Conti just looks a different horse this year.
