I know it's been mentioned in another thread but thought we could have an official thread. Is there any news on whether or not he takes part? Having watched yesterdays race again I see no reason why he won't confirm the form with the favourite even over the long trip. He wasn't stopping at Sandown in a bog over 3m 5f.
I may be biased since I like the horse a lot but 16/1 if taking part looks a decent bet.
You can have a good laugh at me but I rated Tidal the top staying chase performance of last year in the Whitbread. he did the same again in the Hennessy. If Nichols had him from young I don't think Kauto or Denman would have a GC between them. Kauto may have had 6 tingle creeks mind you.

Nicholls wouldn't keep Tidal Bay in this 'in case' Lexus is called off, would he? Would also keep his 2 best chances on low weights and plenty out of h'cap.

I backed him last time he ran in the GN but he was a bit of a dog back then. Would be delighted if he won and last year showed high weights can win now. Would take a mammoth effort though.
