Nice thought. A strong stayer with class, too slow to make a stallion worth so much.
He could be the next Istabraq.
Go on Aiden, you know it makes sense.

A tad harsh for a four time group one winner Plain
Report Navel-Gazer September 18, 2012 8:27 PM BST
Maybe there's an idea for an interesting thread...the highest rated/classiest/group winning performers to run over jumps after a decent flat career.

I'll start the ball rolling with three group ONE winners...Moonax, Royal Gait & My Best Valentine, even though the latter won the Abbaye after an unsuccessful stab at hurdling.

Arctic Owl had a stab over hurdles - was close to favouritism for the Supreme in the New Year having never jumped a twig.

You guys are bores - c'mon Bazzar...aren't you the expect with this kinda stuff?
All that experience you tell us about? Confused

I can;t be arsed telling you loads more that have cut it at group/grade level over both codes because looking at the amount of views
(70+)  compared to responses...it's shameful! Sad

I thought some of you understood this game Plain

I'm pissed and I could readily name a dozen!

I told you I was pissed...

I meant EXPERT and not EXPECT Blush

What do u expect @2.32 am Laugh

Heard a rumour Fame and Glory might be going hurdling Navel. He has plenty of stoutly bred beasts that wouldn't make it at stud so why not ?

Liam - I'm a fcukin' Marine! Four hours kip and having a few coffees at the moment Grin

I think it's a smashing idea for them to do that...I just think it's unfair that it's suggested by people who are taking the piss!
CoT is a decent poster but he knows full well that Istabraq was a bum on the flat, and SNA's form is STILL good enough to win MORE group ones on the flat Plain

You also make a good point about that sort of stallion being a pariah with breeders, that'd only appeal to bums like me with my budget for a nomination Grin

Still trying to breed a winner off summink i found on Blackpool beach Love

Call me precious but I find this thread offensive. MischiefPlain

SNA would be the horse of a lifetime for 95% of yards.

Seem to think Tim Pitts July Cup winner of a few yrs ago(cant recall name) got beat in a cartmel hurdle race
Report roobuck September 20, 2012 9:16 AM BST
Sint you are being 'precious' as you call it - only a little bit of tongue in cheek fun. Hardly surprising really when you listen to AOB when he almost describes him as the second coming.

However I'm beginning to come round to Manuel's assertion that he might the the remaining value in the Arc.

Les Arcs...good example Geoff but like My Best Valentine, the Oracle seemed to work with a sprinter - he wasn't a group one winner that went jumping. as he was useless at the time, before finding huge improvement from fcuk knows where!
