Today the much talked about Mars won first time out at Dundalk and it won by 5L and looked really nice in doing so and whatsmore is the current favourite for next years Derby, indeed it was favourite before it ran.

So lets go out on a limb, Its my opinion that the second horse THE FERRYMAN is the one to have an interest in for next years Derby and whatsmore its got to be huge price having been beaten today by the wonder horse of next year and beatn by 5L.

THE FERRYMAN ran a really really promising race today and ran as if had no idea what it was doing, it was very very green and when the winner had flown this horse got the idea late on and went away from the third horse easily and was doing this with its head in the air and also pricking its ears, in short it was totally clueless and with progression could turn out to be a real decent horse.

Its a stab in the dark on my behalf and on paper looks silly but this thing was just as green as it gets and showed a mass of ability when it understood late on what it had to do, its a derby entry as you may expect from an Aiden O Brien Galileo and its very possible that with progression this horse may even end up in the racingpost trophy later on this year, whichever way things go this year this horse next season will really be one to look out for and this season could be just a bonus.

There is one problem amongst all others and that is its trainer, lets face it they dont care if they have to sacrifice one horse to hype up another, but given a fair crack at the whip it would be fascinating to see what happens with this horse.

no chance of it being a huge price.
