SYT same horse as last year, no better. Carlton House is no great shakes. He even looked like a mile might be his trip yesterday.

think the horse is standing up well to racing and that alone will stand it in good steed ,in the arc it finished well so cant say it dont stay and yester showed it had tactical speed and a turn of foot ,Carlton house defo does not stay 1.4 ,or even 1.2 a mile would do fine imo ,but the race was a bit of unsatisfactory .
if it rains today and he still has the sunglasses on i will be very disapointed with the great man . |

Must say even as a patriotic, completely biased Aussie with a massive respect for a legend in Bart, it is very hard to believe that this horse has gone backwards under the care of O'Brien.
The horse went across a 130-132 horse and he remains a 130-132 horse. Terrific training by two great horsemen. It is a shame that he was hyped up to and in the press as it seems to have somewhat taken away from what is a terrific horse. Produced top class form from 1400-3200m, picked up a lazy 10 G1's (perhaps another to come), and outside a couple of fairly ambitious attempts on nonsense surfaces he has run with remarkable consistency. And most importantly he has been lining my pockets for years now.... ![]() |
