This champion racehorse deserves his own thread since he will be winning multiple group 1's this season.

Starts his season off at the Curragh in a group 3 over 7f on sunday,it will be his first start since joining ballydoyle, his recent work has been very good and he is ready to go,should be a pretty straightforward race, even giving weight all round and will be odds on i would imagine

What makes him a 'champion' please? Confused
Report layingisthewayforward • April 20, 2012 8:22 PM BST
Is he free money on Sunday iyo?
Report geoff m • April 21, 2012 6:00 PM BST
Not sure how he can be a champion having his @rse kicked 3 times by the wonder horse.
That said he is within four or so lengths of Frankel which would have made him a champion miler in the majority of yrs.
Report TheFormMan • April 21, 2012 6:13 PM BST
Come the end of this flat season you will see why he will be referred as a 'champion' as he will bag another handful of group 1's to add to the one he won last season and he will do most of it with ease
Report geoff m • April 22, 2012 1:00 PM BST
Cant see the season going by without him bumping into Frankel @ a mile where he will get his @ss whooped once again.
Even if frankel then goes up in trip & Excelebration trounces everything else @ a mile he still aint a champion imo.

An excellent horse but a champion is a horse who proves himself the best around. He clearly hasn't done that.
Report Graeme83 • April 22, 2012 4:00 PM BST
Given who owns and trains him, i hope he gets stuffed.
Report Masterminded • April 22, 2012 4:38 PM BST
Absolute class today won't have been 100% but still showed how good he is. Look forward to seeing where he may go next.
Report geoff m • April 22, 2012 4:39 PM BST
Got to Lockinge surely with or without Frankel.
His only chance to grab the superstars scalp.
Report geoff m • April 22, 2012 4:40 PM BST
Aiden coming up on ATR now.
So look listen & let Aiden confirm he a definite possible maybe!

'' Listen this one has so much speed the July cup could be an option''
Report TheFormMan • April 22, 2012 4:57 PM BST
no way will he run over 6f again, far to classy to be winning crappy sprint races,8f and even a step up to 10f is in his range, bring on the group 1's and bring on Frankel again!Plain
Report geoff m • April 22, 2012 5:01 PM BST
Get real no chance of em running this @ 10F.
Report neill d • April 22, 2012 5:04 PM BST
That told noone anything today except for the fact that he is alive and well, the form of these listed and Group 3 races in Ireland can often amount to very little. SYT was doing the same thing last season and while this lad is clearly a very good horse, I'd be dissapointed if there isn't something among the classic generation to do him when Frankel steps up, ordinary and all as that crop might well be. They'll campaign him Lockinge, Queen Anne, Foret/QE2, Breeders Cup mile I'd guess. Can't see them going the sprint route as they look to have Nephrite for that now anyway, not that it was probably ever on their agenda.
Report Masterminded • April 22, 2012 5:05 PM BST
Should win a fair few decent races over a mile this season.
Report mr_sykes • April 22, 2012 5:43 PM BST
prob Queen Anne anyway, they always target this meeting
Report harry callaghan • April 23, 2012 6:57 PM BST
personally form man am with you all the way...this is a top class colt...he isn't an exceptional one (frankel is exceptional) but has the scope to win lots of grade 1 races and I for one have been looking forward to him all winter...he didn't disappoint at the curragh admittedly against mediocre opposition (just a prep) but will take some beating when frankel is not in the line up this season imo...
Report tinkler • April 24, 2012 11:34 AM BST
Difficult to see too many profitable angles with this horse, if he encounters Frankel he's unlikley to
win and in races where he doesn't meet Frankel he's likely to go off at very short odds.
Report TheFormMan • April 24, 2012 11:47 AM BST
there is always the w/o fav market when against frankel, was a very tasty 2/1 in the QE2 in that market and if strong suit and another nice type shows up in the lockinge, you still might get a bit of odds against in that market, but if frankel does not show up in races, there is nothing else in europe that can touch excelebration over a mile
Report tinkler • April 24, 2012 11:59 AM BST
Excelebrations official rating is 13 lb  above Strong  Suits which will probably mean a big difference in their prices.
IMO both the above horses optimum trip is 7f and though Excelebration seems to see the mile out fine I'm not convinced that
Strong Suit will see out a fast run mile in a Group One.
Report TheFormMan • April 24, 2012 12:06 PM BST
true, but he is still the horse that will boost Excels price the most if running
Report TheTipsMaster • May 18, 2012 2:20 PM BST
Absolutely Hammer the 7/2 each way tomorrow and absolutely steam into Excelebration w/o the fav,if ever the words FREE MONEY were appropriate!

even young mug joey cant muck this one up,
Report cryoftruth • May 19, 2012 6:04 PM BST
Good call; he is a really high class colt. Surely they won't keep on banging his head of the brick wall that is Frankel.
Report TheTipsMaster • May 19, 2012 6:51 PM BST
Lets hope Frankel steps up in trip now and starts destroying the 10f horses instead, starting in the Prince of Wales, this would leave Excelebration free to deliver in the mile races
