or should i say novice chase that isnt sprinter sacre

I've done Leah Claire ew 12/1 and Burrenbridge Lodge ew 16/1 in h/c hurdle. Plus a little on Ballyhaunis at 40s on here
Realt Dubh is the ew bet in Champ Chase @ 16/1 and 7/2 w/o fav is a good bet too. Sir Des should win easily, I love Mossey Joe but the injury, and trainers comments put me off there so wouldn't bet at the prices now. Instead did a little w/o fav acca. Alderwood, Realt Dubh, Mossey @ 24/1 AP bets on Trifolium and Alderwood are nice position in 2m nov hurdle. catamongdepigeons, mates uncle trains and he thinks it'll win. But formless bumper races are carnage. Anyway took 11/2 on that. I'm headed tomorrow to get a good soaking, should be fun none the less. |
By:
agree on burrenbridge lodge, got a nice chunck on him e/wlove his attitude in a finish,a real battler
By:
Will love the ground too and 5 places
By:
yeah, cant have him out of the frame, nice racing weight off 10-7 as well, big chance,im very hopeful
By:
good to see realt dubh has a few fans, backed him earlier
it's one of those bets you don't expect to collect from, but it has to be done at 14/1 won 3 grade 1s last season, doesn't mind the ground at all, is a fresher horse than most, and who knows, sizing has had a long tough season and zeb hasn't looked the same horse in his last 2 runs sorry to say |
By:
if all these shorties surprise then they'll need the stretchers out for the bookies after chelts and aintree if the big hitters arent put off by the ground.
By:
obligue and there are no surprises, that meant to say
By:
oblige even, sod this going to bed, losing the plot tonight

Anybody know which race Zaidpour is likely to run in? ta
By:
its hard to second guess willie, but he has mentioned both races, so don't think we'll know until tomorrow and he's decided what he's doing with his other half dozen in the three miler.
think he'd be the one to follow quevega home given the conditions and trip. |
By:
Yes Willie said he'd run him in the 2m champion hurdle on Friday. He has Quevega, So Young, Mourad and Mikael D'Haguenet for the 3miler. Zaidpour will love the heavy ground on Friday over 2m. I've him backed antepost with 3 places ew 14/1. Bet of the meeting imo.
Also Mullins is not hard to second guess if you follow Irish racing and his comments throughout the season, you also have to look at his team and see what will run where. It's pretty easy tbh. |
By:
Not sure about the 3 miler... However would fancy him over 2 miles on this ground.
Trying to find something at a decent price at this meeting is proving pretty hard! ![]() |
By:
Cheers for that CV. Good luck with that, rate him as a very good horse and 14/1 now looks massive!
By:
considering there'll probably only be three or four runners at max, lol, shrewd bet.
By:
I was betting more on the fact most would hate the ground. Didn't think it'd cut up this bad. 4 Runners is just
![]() Decent wedge on Fly @ 4/6 too. Horse will also love the ground and Thousand Stars had 2 hard races and has never beaten Fly. Two plays in the race. Either winning is fine by me. |
By:
same here regarding fly got a decent bet on last night, 2/5 still not too bad will probably be far worse on the day.
also got the 4/6 in a double with quevega at 11/10. can't see me backing much else there tbh. |
By:
Mullins stated in todays RP that 1,000 stars is to run in the 2m Hurdle, Quevega the 3m hurdle and
that he hadn't decided yet whether to run Zaidpour in the 2m or 3m race . |
By:
Boston Bob does not run at the festival, taken out of both races, not in the decs for either the 2m4f or 3m,must be something wrong

By:
or just makes sense if the horse isnt a hurdler. put him away for chasing.
By:
the plan was very much to run this week tho
By:
Ground?
By:
taken 5/2 about both mossey joe without sir des and big zeb without sizing. think they are huge value.
By:
doubt they would be worried about the ground since its his last run of the season, has all summer to recover, but perhaps thats the case, will find out later no doubt and i would fancy frisco to turn over mossy and something else to turn over big zeb as well as SE wicked
By:
sizing will lead three out and win easily. only poss danger for me in the w/o market is realt dubh on last years form, but if you offered me 5/2 big zeb in a match bet, which i think it basically is, i'd snap it up.
frisco flattered by proximity to flemenstar. |
By:
Forecast Sizing Europe followed home by Big Zeb 4.6 do me lovely ;)
By:
pathetic ride from Davy, just shocking, thats how to get the best horse in the race beat-MUG!
By:
8/13 was a great price on Sizing. I didn't bet in the end because I was in Uni and he was only 1/2 when I left for Uni :-(
By:
mossey booked for second and falls...trifolium looking the winner and gets done. lovely day.
what did trifolium hit IR? 1.10 or lower? i was going to lay at 1.1 in running, but left it thinking he'd see it out strongly.ffs. |
By:
fecking davy mug seen to it that he didnt
By:
Really liking Quantitativeeasing for the Gold Cup. Trip and ground should be no problem and his win over Medermit in a very fast time marked him as a future grade 1 winner.
By:
Day 2 will go ahead as scheduled. Track currently raceable. Continue 2 monitor wind & rain. Winds due 2 ease in afternooon. Update a/1.30pm
By:
1.02 Trifolium went i/r Wicketd
By:
as long as days 2, 3 and 4 go ahead i couldnt give a feck about the fifth one.
By:
Galway confirms that it is wind that is leaving Punchestown racing in doubt. A decision on whether racing takes place is expected at 2pm.
By:
chases cancelled today, hurdles and bumpers only. 1st race at 4.55.
By:
Cancel the rest of the meeting, awful stuff. Pointless racing in that. Not a chance of me betting on any of the next 3 days.
Season over, now a long break from racing till the Old Roan in November. |
By:
agree, watching that bumper was terrible, its not racing conditions, get it canceled
By:
Galway maybe didnt notice course resembled a swamp, absolute joke racing went ahead never seen so many horses tailed off furlongs behind!
