A flat 3m might be up his street on that evidence. The only problem could be that he might just gradually come along for the bigger prizes in March and April. How does everyone else see it ?

Every chance i'd say but they do have Long Run aswell. Plenty of stamina in FR's breeding to suggest he will get the trip and remember they gave this horse a precautionary Gold Cup entry this March.

I doubt he'll go back to 2 m to take on Sprinter Sacre so the KG looks an obvious target. He stayed impressively today on softish ground. Could be some politics in the Henderson yard with Finians, Riverside, Bobsworth and Long Run all King George contenders!

That's right Sintonian, he held an entry and they see him as a potential stayer if they want to go there. And as Strontium has pointed out, they have a host of potential King George horses. I need to cover some angles incase he does actually go, as he's got some serious class. I'm working on it just now.

I wonder if the likes of Menorah or even Cue Card might ultimately be aimed at KG also? The Kings Theatre progeny do tend to have an engine and neither will be looking to take on Sprinter Sacre over 2m again.

Menorah also takes time to hit good form. Some of Hobbs best runners come to life in the spring, so to get Menorah ready by then over an unknown trip is also the question. As for Cue Card, i don't know if he would get the trip. Someone else will be in a better position to know.

Bob's Worth will go to the Lexus or might even wait for Pillar I'd have guessed
Report Graeme83 • April 13, 2012 8:18 PM BST
I still think Bobs Worth is a King George horse. He had his op, and i think he's capable of running well round Kempton. Although he will probably go for the Hennessy, then after that, who knows ?....King George or a race about January perhaps ?

If there's one thing bobs worth surely isn't its a king george horse. He's a galloper who wants the 3m2f of Chelters.

Cant see em runnin Bob at Kempton ever again tbh

Ud think FR earned himself a crack at it today

dont forget Grand Crus and Silvianco.

Looks like a real hot race next year.

Burton Port too. Possibly Al Ferof and Medermit. Not impossible it will be Kauto Star's swansong.

Finian's doesn't want to go further than two miles - I'm convinced of that. He is extremely classy and a brilliant jumper (although not great yesterday) but it was his superiority that saw him home.

Appreciate that it is a tough spot to be in to decide how to keep him and Sprinter apart, but they should both be in the Queen Mother in March. Also potentially a better horse in the spring off a light campaign initially, so the King George not the best option on any front for me.

Grands Crus absolutely spaffs up if that helps Wink
