Has anybody any idea when odds will be released for this? Thought there might have been some already, but seemingly not.
Will almost certainly be the best novice hurdle of the season thus far, and a big indicator to the Supreme (and Neptune). Although the ground looks like being heavy, so it will be a very different test to March.
certainly Willie Mullins will have a couple in here and I will be surprised if Galileos Choice doesn't run - very important race and bound to have a big effect on the festival markets

Of the Mullins runners, I think Sous Les Cieux is a definite, and Midnight Game highly likely. Of the others, I think Galileo's Choice will run too. Believe Monksland is heading staright to Chelts.

Dont know for sure sint, but have heard its being considered. Would he even enter him if he wasnt planning on running again? Has left him in at the 5 day stage too.
Will obviously be pleased if he isnt. He'd be the horse I feared most tbh.

Yes CCM he would. He has done that plenty this season with horses like Prince De Beauchene and Quel Esprit. Really phucks me off tbh because a lot of his horses are fancied runners.

Sous Les Cieux resented being restrained in the lead the last day and with a hold up ride I think he will go very well - with Galileos Choice a non runner this is deffo my bet

I agree Judo. I am absolutely certain he will run a better race than he did in the Future Champions. I imagine WPM will have Terminal giving him a nice lead too.
I still think he thinks SLC is potentially his best novice. When you look at the prices of SLC and Galileo's Choice for the Supreme, they are very odd imo.

I too can't see how Captain Conan is fav - Value of the race has to be Lord Windermere at 11/1 with PP. Looked really good on his two wins this season and can't see him out being out of the frame in this.

Dylan Ross seems to be the key to alot of the form lines. Just impossible to know how consistent he is. If he has given his true running on all 3 seconds, then there is no doubt LW is value.

Yes I have mate. Just don't see the point in backing C&G, so wanted to have a saver on something else. I spoke to WPM after the last race and he was absolutely shell shocked. Whilst we beat him fair and square, he was 1/3 and we were 11/2 that day... so he looked a bit of value at a point bigger than us for this race, especially when they clearly felt he was alot better than that.
As I said, I think he thinks SLC is his best novice.

I must admit at the time I said to myself "what the bloody hell are you doing?" when I saw him taken to the front that day. Guess that is the curse of being a 1/3 fav, you feel you are the one to beat, but really he needed burying - 9/2 did look huge to me

If you read WPN's comments after SLC's maiden hurdle win I dont think it was any secret this is, in his his opinion, his best novice.
But then he said the same about Zaidpour who also went off the boil at Xmas time. He got beat at 1/4 or something similar.

Big difference on the odds for C&G. VC have him joint fav at 9/4 but Boyles are really taking him on at 7/2.... much bigger than anyone else. Fingers crossed they have it all wrong!

Yep CCM. There is not a single big race i've not followed in the ante-post markets this season and WPM has had block entries on a few occasions. He indicated after his last run that Midnight Game would go to Chelts so basically entered him incase something happended to his other runner. gl with your bet/horse.

Interesting that he hasnt left in something else to give SLC a lead. Dont think Ruby will want to do the same as last time, but wonder who will make the running?

Quite interested to see how Sportsmaster goes in the first as they think alot of him.
Other than that, think Quel Esprit has a favourites chance and fortunately on at 7/2. But will be half hoping the headmaster can land his monster gamble on China Rock!
Havent had a look at much else tbh. How about you?

Mate of mine is involved with Bold Chief and it should have won the last day but Jacobs cokked it up
anyway goes at Exeter and they only have one to beat apparently, Hendo horse. About 2/1 and will travel and travel so bound to shorten - they expect it to win

wow put in an in running lay to green evenly all round at 1.72... and amazingly it got matched, didn't ever look like winning!
that is a bonus and a half!
gotta love Betfair for that

settled on inner, 6th halfway, went 3rd before 2 out, no extra early straight and dropped to 5th before last (lame and scoped badly post-race)
Hope he's OK

Personally think Ruby cocked up, not sure he needs 2m 5f, as they appeared to go pretty steady. Sous need a strongly run race over 2 miles at Festival then may see him in better light if showing.

What a funny race. Obviously gutted... but he did scope badly and was a bit lame afterwards. Nothing major, but enough to end his race, so at least there was a reason for it. AL said he didnt feel like the same horse he rode at Xmas and his class got him into the race, he just had nothing left to give.
Hopefully it was too bad to be true, and just one of those days they all have.
Didnt think Ruby gave SLC a great ride myself.... gave the horse an awful lot to do in dead ground. Granted he got the second last all wrong, but still.

Unlucky CCM. Do you think he will be ready for Cheltenham and if he is will that be the plan?
As regards SLC, the distance he made up in the last 2 furlongs shows he is a very good horse, just needs a distance of ground as well as time as sint says
