Know of any that have named this race as an intended target?
By:
certainly Willie Mullins will have a couple in here and I will be surprised if Galileos Choice doesn't run - very important race and bound to have a big effect on the festival markets
By:
Cash and Go is definitely running.
Of the Mullins runners, I think Sous Les Cieux is a definite, and Midnight Game highly likely. Of the others, I think Galileo's Choice will run too. Believe Monksland is heading staright to Chelts. |
By:
Hopefully Sous Les Cieux will prove lto minor blip, if getting lead and settling.
By:
I thought Midnight Game was heading straight to Chelts ? Already had 4 runs over hurdles so enough exp.

Dont know for sure sint, but have heard its being considered. Would he even enter him if he wasnt planning on running again? Has left him in at the 5 day stage too.
Will obviously be pleased if he isnt. He'd be the horse I feared most tbh. Yes CCM he would. He has done that plenty this season with horses like Prince De Beauchene and Quel Esprit. Really phucks me off tbh because a lot of his horses are fancied runners.
By:
Even Hurricane Fly was entered at the 5-day stage for the Grade 1 Istabraq Hurdle was not declared a non-runner until just before.
By:
Fair enough mate. I'll keep my fingers crossed
By:
Betting out.... Quite surprised CC is favourite.
3/1 Capatin Conan 7/2 Midnight Game 7/2 Cash and Go 9/2 Sous les Cieux 10/1 Bar |
By:
very surprised Captain Conan is fav
Sous Les Cieux resented being restrained in the lead the last day and with a hold up ride I think he will go very well - with Galileos Choice a non runner this is deffo my bet |
By:
I agree Judo. I am absolutely certain he will run a better race than he did in the Future Champions. I imagine WPM will have Terminal giving him a nice lead too.
I still think he thinks SLC is potentially his best novice. When you look at the prices of SLC and Galileo's Choice for the Supreme, they are very odd imo. |
By:
I am convinced SLC is Mullins #1 2 mile novice hurdler
By:
Sous Les Cieux big price imo.
By:
yuh Steveo
Have already backed it, bound to be shorter |
By:
9/2 gone already....
By:
On at 9/2 and 4s think that will go shortly.
By:
I too can't see how Captain Conan is fav - Value of the race has to be Lord Windermere at 11/1 with PP. Looked really good on his two wins this season and can't see him out being out of the frame in this.
By:
Dylan Ross seems to be the key to alot of the form lines. Just impossible to know how consistent he is. If he has given his true running on all 3 seconds, then there is no doubt LW is value.
By:
I agree and he defo runs according to Culloty!
By:
looks slow to me and Culloty said as much in his interview - get left behind
By:
Have you backed SLC then CCM ?
By:
Yes I have mate. Just don't see the point in backing C&G, so wanted to have a saver on something else. I spoke to WPM after the last race and he was absolutely shell shocked. Whilst we beat him fair and square, he was 1/3 and we were 11/2 that day... so he looked a bit of value at a point bigger than us for this race, especially when they clearly felt he was alot better than that.
As I said, I think he thinks SLC is his best novice. |
By:
sorry i must have missed bit of conversation there.. why are u saying "Just don't see the point in backing C&G"..
By:
I must admit at the time I said to myself "what the bloody hell are you doing?" when I saw him taken to the front that day. Guess that is the curse of being a 1/3 fav, you feel you are the one to beat, but really he needed burying - 9/2 did look huge to me
By:
If you read WPN's comments after SLC's maiden hurdle win I dont think it was any secret this is, in his his opinion, his best novice.
But then he said the same about Zaidpour who also went off the boil at Xmas time. He got beat at 1/4 or something similar. |
By:
**** now 3/1 for SLC
By:
B o yle s port s 3/1
By:
Hubert. I'm part owner of C&G.
By:
Still 7/2 with PP and 365 judo
By:
yes but it was boys that went 9/2 originally, clearly taken their fill now letting the others take any new money by going shorter
By:
oh apologies CCM just remembered your earlier posts on SN blog now..
Best of Luck Sunday.. I'm firmly in your camp anyways i hope its not loyalty to Catch me (who was extremely good to me in irish races) that is leading me up d garden path! Hope d horse comes out of race well enough to do himself justice in d SN. |
By:
Thanks alot Hubert. Would be very happy if he ends up doing as well as his big brother!
By:
SLC ew at 4s done here, missed the 9/2
Can only see this price gettin shortergl de weekend CCM, looks a decent race, interested to see how the english form measures up, personally think the form of the novices this side of the sea is much stronger, we shall see de weekend |
By:
Thanks BJG. I agree entirely. Think CC will struggle myself. Hows the weather over there? Lashing down I hope
