Liam - I was a big fan of Chalon and she would have won the Guineas if she'd have run in it!

Probably a bit better than On The House when she was on song but OTH was no slouch either.

PS - that horse that dragged Piggott under the stalls...here's a clue - there was a forumite of this name a while ago that apparently got on everyone's tits!

Liam - reading back, i can't help you with Eddery's Bessborough winner, but if you were there that day (which I wasn't) that was a great line up for the Coronation Stakes.

Hardly surprising it was elevated to Group One a few years later.

Fourstars Allstar won the Irish 2000 but not in 2000 - that year Giants Causeway was beaten by Bachir - I think FA was a little earlier.

I backed three horses that day and it could have changed my life if id done a treble

A Shadeed Filly who won the queen mary at around 14-1, Rebecca Sharp at 33s and the supposed second Akehurst string in the Hunt Cup at 33s called Red Robbo, they all won

a poxy £5 treble came to 75kSad

Zilzal - OUCH! That's why I always used to do £1 E/W Lucky 15's at the Ascot & Cheltenham Festivals!

I'd back two outsiders in each race and just hoped for the best they'd be in the right bets!

They are around about every 10 years when i dont bother having a multiple and the last one was in 08(last leg Iris De Balme!!)

Been a good race for me, i tend to back horses whos form over long distance chases seem much better than 3-31/4 mile form

Hugh, Alidiva was the first CHW horse i remember trained by HRAC, my dad always said she was a guineas horse, though she didnt prove to be one on track, she did throw one, the aforementioned Sleepytime.
