Bino will suff that lot out of sight, well should do - imho of course.
Report buddeliea December 21, 2011 4:30 PM GMT
Overturm would be a danger had he not ran every week this month!!

Interesting that Mccain has left Drill sergeant in and maybe he's going to try something different with Overturn. Don't like Binoculars attitude anymore though if they go a average/moderate pace(something overturn
seems to do a lot over hurdles) he has the pace to cause problems. Rock on Ruby kept on well at Newbury off a
fast pace may have pace problems if they don't go very quick. Sanctuaire and clerks choice both have some pace
and if they go a moderate pace have a chance.
Theres a possiblity Drill sergeant is in the race to give Overturn a lead and could set off quite quick. If
this is the case imo the race is straight forward and Rock on Ruby should win. If Overturn is left to go an
average pace then I'm not sure who will win. The only way i can play a race like this is if Mccain states pre
race that DS is  to be used as a Pacemaker or to bet in running if Maquire decides to go quick on Overturn.

Looks a pretty weak race. Overturn looks like he needs a rest. Bino was magnificent in this last time but has been very poor since. Might be a chanc to see where RoR really stands in the pecking order.
Report sintonian December 21, 2011 5:12 PM GMT
As much as I would like to see ROR win as I recently backed him for the CH ... 9/4 is a bit tight, aint it ?

I guess you can argue Overrturn wont be the freshest horse in the race, particualy given he ran with a penalty in the Bula albeit with credit.

Bino is the conundrum. They said he was pretty fit for the Fighting Fifth, and I backed him that day Sad , but if you look at his performance and finishing position in the race, it is still a vast improvement on his performances in the race previously. So if he does improve for his debut run like he has done in previous seasons, he should be right in the mix.

ROR is clearly the improver out of Novice company.

Might play and exacta and reverse forecast with Bino & ROR.

Overrturn is tough, but he has had 3 quick races this season!

Why the Phuck is Olofi in here ??!?!
Report tinkler December 21, 2011 5:18 PM GMT
Word of caution re Overturn the trainer has said he won't be running if its too soft.
Report roobuck December 21, 2011 5:52 PM GMT
Not sure where else the books would go with the price.

Has to be a reasonable chance that Overturn won't actually pitch up if there is any more rain and even so has had a very busy period as already mentioned. ROR and Binocular are similar prices for the CH and so with little depth in the other entries, price is more or less righ imo.

Couldn't agree more re Olofi - gets within a few lengths in say a slowly run race and great handicap mark is gone, never to be seen again!!

£65k race 7 rnrs.
Report judorick December 21, 2011 10:34 PM GMT
My prediction:

1. Rock on Ruby
2. Overturn
3. Binocular
Report buddeliea December 22, 2011 12:06 PM GMT
i shall approach this race hoping that Bino is at or near his best.
Report duffy December 22, 2011 1:33 PM GMT
i've given up trying to figure out connections with regard bino...they said leading up to the fighting fifth that he was leaner and meaner and were far more positive than previously on debut runs....i have resigned myself to cursing all of them when, after i've given up on him he romps home in something like the champion at double figure odds...HF permitting of courseGrin
