Most of the leaders also have Hurricane Fly and Long Run. If these both win over Christmas, the important bonus races could be the Irish Hennessy and the novice combinations. No more points for Big Bucks before the festival.
With horses racing only 3-4 times a season , the TTF is like one big accumulator. Its very hard to make ground up after a loss.
The fact that last years winner finished on 782 points shows that are plenty points to fight for yet.

Comparing points totals to a similar stage last year, they seem to be a lot lower this year. Even taking in account that Little Josh won the PP last wasn't even in the TTF.

got one line nearly in the top 100 so not totally out of it yet I hope.  Have got Long Run, Master Minded, Grands Crus, Hurricane Fly and Binocular going in that one over Christmas so a bit of potential there...subs will be crucial I think...

Hurricane Fly -will he  or wont he . Could decide the TTF for many. If he misses the Istabraq, there are only 4 weeks to the Irish Champion Hurdle(Bonus Race 50 pts). Is a banker for me .
Only have Long run running for me in the King George.
Its not about winning for me-its keeping the dream alive for as long as possible.

So far behind, I'm focussing my atttention on the Sun Dream Team where I was 40th before today.

All going to start hotting up this weekend.

The most boring TTF comp in history for me. However, need to pay up the final installment of my grandstand seat tickets for the Festival so that means it's getting closer. This will be one of those rare years where I'll be more interested in the betting aspect than worrying about how my TTF horses are doing.

I wouldnt lose faith in Kauto Stone just yet, he could still get circa 80 points.

I would think Nihols will send him to Ascot over 2 and a half miles in the middle of Feb (29 points), then onto the Ryan Air.

At the moment Kauto Stone has a big fat zero. Hopeful of him winning the ascot Chase but unlikely to get his favoured soft ground at Cheltenham  .Don't know what the opposition might be at Ascot. Captain Chris, Medermit earmarked for this race. Maybe Riverside theatre might come out here.
On 307, have a 300(let down by Menorah and Hidden Cyclone yesterday) and 297 also but still 120 behind the leader. Without no potential Irish Hennessy Gold Cup,Betfair Hurdle or ?RacingPost Chase runner its a forlorn hope. Was banking on Rubi Light making it into an Irish Hennessy horse.

I've got a couple of days off for the subs, but still don't like them.  I've got loads of lists with Jessie's Dream in already and if he wins next week, then loads of people are going to sub him.

Glad Zarkander finally got me some points...shame can't view the leaderboard at the moment due to the bonus horses. Up to 2253 overall currently which is a vast improvement on my shambles last year!

Does anyone know how many points the leader has?  Would be good to know how hopeless my position is!

Subs in but only because I don't want to sink any further. Stops me from pondering about the flat while the jumps reaches its climax. I just love the festival. Then Aintree.

I've a couple of entries that could win the big pot with an absolute miracle.

Another 15 or so that looked OK for The festival, so I subbed for that.

And a few that looked good for nothing, so I put The Midnight Club and Oscar Whisky in for Aintree as they are my fancies for there.

Most of the leaders have subbed to include the obvious horses Sprinter Sacre, Grand Crus and Sizing Europe. Therefore, a lot of the top 10 have very similar lists.
This gives plenty leeway to make up ground as there are no certainties at the festival.

Resisted the temptation to bring Kauto in...figured with Burton Port, Long Run and potentially Grand Crus I had enough contenders for the GC.

I never touched Kauto this year sadly.  I just never thought his amazing run would last until Cheltenham.

Big month just started.

Best entry on 455. (187th place) . Missing out on Sprinter Sacre is my big omission.

Just looked at mine and saw that I am on 472 points and in 1200 place.this week I have running the same big horses as the others but also Synchronised,ChampCourt and Thousand Stars which aren't in the top ten boys lists.Realistically do you think I may have a chance of tenth place?103 points behind him.

Only the april prize to aim for now for me, flung a few GN hopefuls on to some of my crapper lines, so hope one of them comes in and it's matched up with the odd other 25 pointer!

Just looked at the overall leaderboard.

The entry in 2nd place has, Rock on Ruby, Oscar Whiskey and Zarkandar.  But the leader is only 3 points ahead but has none of them.

They must both be having kittens.
