Better than his finishing position? Yes should have finished 5th not 6th. I am sorry but this horse has shown a terrible attiture pretty much each time he has run. One to steer clear of.

Very much in need of that today gents, given it was his first run since Epsom where he struggled to handle the track. He's much better than today's finishing position would suggest.

But the same goes for all of his runs. Aidan should really have this guy sorted out by now

just overated to me...apart from his win in france last yr...non of his form stacks up at all to grp 1 quality... perhaps he needs heavy he got in france..or maybe that was just against the others day....

I like Recital but agree the horse has his weird ways!
But you know Aidan - Recital has been off a while and seemingly was "Just" ready to start back so let's be fair, he was probably just out to get a feel for a racecourse. Do not surprised if he goes and wins a Group race the next day easily - because Aidan's previous form suggests the horse will be a lot better next time out.

Maybe so but in my opinion there is a very strong chance that Recital will be Ballydoyle's number one hope in the Champion Stakes - it'll be him or Treasure Beach.
I'm surprised I haven't seen this mentioned before but Aidan always sends one of his top 3yos to Newmarket. In fact, the only time he didn't was when the 4yo Mingun got beat in 2004 as a 33/1 outsider. The 11 other runners he's run in the race have all been 3yos who hadn't gone for Arcs or Breeders Cups - which is also why there's very little chance that the Champion Stakes will be a target for So You Think.

Sint....I am only speculating but I think ATD might run in the Group 3 Diamond Stakes on Sept 30th and then go for the BC Classic. Could be entirely wrong but it does look as if "the dream" is still on.

Ballydoyle guessing game particularly difficult at the moment but i've decided to take the view that they won't win fack all else this season so it doesn't matter.
