I wouldn't take Spirit Son - Rock On Ruby line literally given he only finished 1/2 length ahead of Drill Sergeant.

I wouldn't take it quite literally either, but it does add some substance to the form whatever way you look at it even if Rock On Ruby had an off day .. imo.

I prefer to look at the Supreme when looking at Spirit Sons chances because Aintree was a longer trip and a different course. Hard to know at this stage whether he improved overall for Aintree or if the course just suited better as he did beat Cue Card by a further disance. Most of the supreme rivals are doing well chasing at the moment and the CH doesn't look the strongest esecially if Hurricane Fly is injured. Talking myself into backing it now :-)

added Ad Idem aswell .. think if your backing Wicklow you have to cover this fella who is better off at the weights from their previous encounter and he also has decent course form .. 4212 over hurdles/fences. On his second chase start last season he was runner-up to Flat Out,beaten 13 lengths, who may have won the Irish Arkel but for falling.
