So I went through the Topspeeds for Ascot and apparantly, there wasn't a bona fide Group 1 performance all week.

Can this be so?

Would any speed ratings gurus like to comment?

The Queen Anne, was borderline, but Goldikova has run faster previously. The POW was a Group 1 time by my reckoning.

Is this about how fast horses finished the race or the overall time of a race?

If, on the Topspeed scale 120 is a top class performance and 130 exceptional, nothing got that high.
