oh god...spencer :o
Report mightymoyes June 19, 2011 7:20 PM BST
at least spencer wont go too soon!Silly
Report revedesivola June 19, 2011 8:03 PM BST
spencers the man, he wont mess up on a ballydoyle nag because theyre the only group horses with chances hes getting, mostly anyhow. he sure as fook didnt act the maggot on f&g, gave him a v good ride. nice guy too
Report Sir June 19, 2011 8:11 PM BST
any news about SYT running in the Eclipse i doubt he will
Report mightymoyes June 19, 2011 8:18 PM BST
targets announced in the next few days.
Report EastLower Gooner June 19, 2011 11:23 PM BST
listen he came out of the race fine...
Report sootyfive June 20, 2011 12:02 AM BST
Looks like the Eclipse...bookies have So You Think and Workforce joint favorites. Seamie Heffernan looks the logical jockey, though if i was the owner i would send an emergency S.O.S and get damien oliver over to ride him.
if SYT can run his natural race "without a lead horse" you may see a different horse, a horse who can run unbelieveable secionals.put him to sleep in the race and watch his last 2 furlongs.
Report keynes June 20, 2011 12:08 AM BST
hopefully fallon will get the ride. Ballydoyle desperately need a win here, and will not take any chances. Another second will cost them millions and will be very embarrassing
Report sootyfive June 20, 2011 12:33 AM BST
Has Ryan Moore stated who he will ride? strange if many say workforce is UK's best horse and he hasnt yet commited to riding workforce.

yeah i would go for fallon myself, Ryan Moore didnt help SYT's cause going so far from home.

food for thought

* stuff up at the start
* badly checked by lead horse at start
* over raced first furlong
* jockey took off way way too early
* noted horse wasnt 100% fit and had a huge blow.
* they ran a race record and they ran nearly a track record.
* the winner, went to sleep rear of the field and swooped, did no work.
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 12:47 AM BST
goes without saying he rides workforce...

I want Spencer, and i want a stable jock at Ballydoyle, Spencer again tar for me, its his time.
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 2:38 AM BST
neill, folk will start to think im you in shortLaugh i agree, spencer for ballydoyle againBlush i think hes great, people exaggerate about his style, he will get any horse capable of winning home, and some more. nice guy too.
Report neill d June 20, 2011 2:45 AM BST
If you believe Fallon, he says he's strong as a bull in a finish, the Hay horses might be a testing ground for the the ticket back in the door. i really like him, I remember everyone slagging off Hughes a few years ago, although tbf he was on d sauce at the time. He got Sariska home against Midday and in hindsight that almost made certain in my mind he could get the job done.
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 2:49 AM BST
yeah ive seen him ride some real crackers lately. it didnt take an investigator to see how much winning the gold cup meant to him either, always nice to see. hes v down to earth too. yeah fitri hay is doin him some real favours there, i really hope he lands a big fish, ballydoyle round 2 would be perfect. only worry is their turnover of jocks!
Report neill d June 20, 2011 2:53 AM BST
I read some interviews with himin the RP in summer 09, I remeber especially cos I was away and bought d thing online for a bit of home, he was so down on himself it was unreal, bar Sariska, I would hardly have noticed his saturday contribution tbh. For a while ther he gave up chasin and goin to small meetings, but he seems to have gotten his hunger back now and signs on the breaks are coming. He will never be the darling of the punters, but like yourself, I've a softspot for the guy.
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 2:58 AM BST
yep, he deserves a big job. seb sanders is another good one not getting much his way
Report neill d June 20, 2011 3:00 AM BST
Ya jesus, v tough, straight well able, wouldn't have the innate brilliance of some but still......, yeah, dunno where the contacts that won him a jocks title have gone.
Report neill d June 20, 2011 3:02 AM BST
Yep Seb is one you'd love on your side on a dirty Monday afternoon at Southwell in January in a 47-65 im6f race wher half the field has already run twice in the last 7 days.Laugh He'd drive one alright.
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 3:05 AM BST
il give those 2 rides when im a trainerLaughCool how did ascot treat u?
Report neill d June 20, 2011 3:12 AM BST
[:laugh:not too bad up 6.5 points but I lost discipline a bit on the Thursday after F&G (basically made 65quid)Laugh. I've no great original ideas really, when the favs go in like they did last week, i tend to go well. Discipline is a real problem for me though, had a couple of real stupid bets at Warwick on thursday, backed one just for the fact it was harbingers half brother, the 'logic' was that the stout breeding would see it improve for 1m6f, he turned out just to be slow and useless, aparrently, being slow is no guarantee that you'll stay a trip.Laugh Power was my best result of the week, cheers Dave Duggan
Report neill d June 20, 2011 3:13 AM BST
howd u go?
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 3:18 AM BST
Laugh not so bad then. yeah i did well enough, had a few antepost, including delegator which didnt go wellCry not a big ap fan and prices werent greatest so will give a miss from now on. on the plus side i had 4/1 fame and gloryLaugh id say i was a bit up for the week
Report neill d June 20, 2011 3:23 AM BST
4/1 F&G was sensational, snaffled some 9/4 on the Tuesday myself, lovely having a bet on the quality stuff having all the info to hand (to an extent, apparently Power was lame all week) Good week for us so ha, I'm droppin off half asleep here, good night buddy. Another Ascot down ha, half the year gone now[:(]
Report revedesivola June 20, 2011 3:31 AM BST

Now confirmed that the eclipse is his next target and Richard Hannon jr has also stated that Canford Cliffs is a possible also, its between this and the Sussex and he will discuss it with the owners this week, hope the stick him to the mile for now and we see the head to head with frankle
Report unclepuncle June 21, 2011 10:24 AM BST
No chance of Canford running imo - just Coolmore (who now effectively own him) doing there usual marketing thing trying to make out he has speed, stamina the ability to walk on water etc.Cry
Report A_T June 21, 2011 10:44 AM BST
Agree no chance of CC running in the Eclipse -just hype.
Report Shiekh Me Hand June 21, 2011 9:27 PM BST
Why not bring Steven Arnold across the pond to ride him, Arnold rode him to win all the top races in Oz last year, makes sense?
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby June 22, 2011 12:36 AM BST
No way they will take on Workforce. Workforce would rip him a new one imho
Report tinkler June 22, 2011 7:26 PM BST
Judging by Fallons full on rs licking of AOB in the Weekender he must think he has a chance to ride him.
Report keynes June 22, 2011 7:48 PM BST
agree tinkler, it was painful to read (and pretty shameless too)
Report ForceMajeure June 23, 2011 8:31 AM BST
Why dosn't Aidan just kill two birds with one stone and let his son ride SYT?

No need to put him out on a pacemaker running into SYT when O'Brien Jr can just stuff the whole race up whilst riding him himself.

You know it makes sense Aidan........YOU MUPPET!
Report revedesivola June 23, 2011 1:19 PM BST
or just forget the pacemaker. more often than not theyre ignored, better no pacemaker than making a bollocks of the whole thing
Report EastLower Gooner June 23, 2011 5:42 PM BST
Arnold makes the most sense but if they didnt use him at Ascot then why now :(

This might be won for King Kieren. brute strength for SYT.

Report revedesivola June 23, 2011 10:01 PM BST
Laugh doubt it
Report Somerset_Moan June 23, 2011 11:01 PM BST
Is Spencer still riding out with Hayley T? Would be good to see him back at his best although the reliance on hold up ride tactics (or is that all he gets booked for?) a la Hughes does get on one's teets sometimes..
Report revedesivola June 24, 2011 12:14 AM BST
yep, think hes still wiv her! his ride on fame and glory was certainly a no nonsense ride anyhow, he knows himself he needs big winners because things have gone a bit quiet for him on the group races scene!
Report The Big O June 24, 2011 4:05 AM BST
Fallon rides and its a max bet regardless of what else shows up
Report John P June 24, 2011 10:54 PM BST
Has Fallon been confirmed by Ballydoyle? He is riding really well just now
