horses that are both in the top 6 rated RPR and are in the top 6 topspeed.
ashbrittle
vieled
desert sea
zigato
australia day
becausewecan
la estrella
plymouth rock
blizzard blues

only zigato is a course winner and none are dist winners.

good/soft winners

becausewecan
ashbrittle
zigato
vieled
la estrelle

horses which will stay 2m4f

becausewecan - as ran to 2m 3 times - 2 weakened,1 stayed on one pace,- so non stayer.
ashbrittle - ran at 15f and 16f staying on both times.
zigato - quickened clear at only attempt 16f - stayer.
vieled - definate stayer
la estrelle - ran once at 16f came last - non stayer.

so our short list is

ASBRITTLE - won at hamilton, right  hand undulating track, usually in class 3 or 4 hcps.
ZIGATO - won at ascot - runs in class 3 hcps.
VIELED - won at newmarket/leicester(similiar tracks),in class 4 and 5 hcps.

given all the facts ZIGATO seems to be the logic bet.

good stuff..look forward to it...

pretty much all over on the purple site...

dont spend much time on here now either...mainly the big race threads that have been running for a few seasons now...post on them...and theres a few decent lads still on that thread over here.
Report comingupthehill June 12, 2011 9:28 PM BST
why do they prefer it over there
Report trev w June 12, 2011 9:37 PM BST
about year & half to 2 yrs ago....site was playing up really badly on here....could,nt hardly post on a saturday...which led to most going over...academic had already set up over there...due to being banned from here...
not before long...we ended up staying over there...but it has its own posting troubles also..which does'nt help....but the winners still flowing..which is good.

has academic tried speaking to betfair,i got banned 2 yr ago,i ve never bothered, but today thought i d ring up and see when ban will be lifted and got told you were only banned for a month,if you think about it its not in there interest having customers on bans - i ve never known anything like it,you dont get told your banned, you dont get told how long, you dont get told why you are banned - and irony is the people its in the moderators interest to ban as many people as possible(makes their job easier),so betfair just let all their customers get put out - just so some guy can put his feet up.
Report trev w June 12, 2011 9:56 PM BST
he was banned for a month then came back on....got into slanging match with some grass on here...next thing..it was a life ban.
a couple of times i've been up @ betfair....asked if it could be overturned...but no joy...

Plymoth Rock got no run at all last time at Chester. Had a poor draw and was out the back all the way. I dont  much like his odds of 12/1 though so will see if 20's or so becomes available.

trev where is the thread on the purple one? I have looked a few times to join in but couldnt find it?

there are some Ascot threads in the Royal Ascot 2011 forum group; but certainly miss all the good input from a few years ago.

Having won this race last year Junior is a course and distance winner imo.
Report platinni June 13, 2011 5:46 PM BST
story homedogs Cool  cant post on purple from greece so will be on here sporadically

how you keeping cuth?  watching brief tmrw bar this race.  check out beckets form (track and recent) and you can put a nice line through ashbrittle imo

fbolt

My immediate thought too. But OP opening line is :-

horses that are both in the top 6 rated RPR and are in the top 6 topspeed.

So presumably this criteria didn't fit Junior.
However,as I backed him last year to win , I'll be doing the same this time round.

facts - that is a fact, well spotted.but dont let me put you off,i was at chelt when he won,ive been going 25 yr and it was the biggest cheers i ve seen,i think all the track had him,one of the big 4 said sfter it wasa there biggest looser of the meeting.

to everyone else - thank you and going by your joining dates there must be some old codgers out there, did your carers wake you up saying that cuths back on posting

I guess they were listed in correct finishing order, so at least you nabbed the winner.
Report comingupthehill June 16, 2011 10:54 AM BST
if the ground affects the draw advantage, and given the first race is now 16 runners, cravat drawn 1 is miles clear - its bred by soft ground winners ,its only ever had g/f,its ran behind gatepost(hampered),its beat hammza 6th on tuesday both on g/f - it will relish this soft ground first 5 in betting are g/f horses,at 120/1 and 26/1 a place there are worse bets today
Report Trusty June 16, 2011 11:15 AM BST
interesting thanks.

difficult to know about draw with the going change no royal ascot meeting with soft in for the last 10 years that I can find.

totesport was g/s last sept and first 3 were drawn 2,3,4!

Think Fictional Account in the GC will be suited by the rain and extra distance. stats against but at 20/1 worth a shout.
