It seems that if you win with certain bookies on line they can refuse to pay out; ignoring the racing rules as they apply in the uk and hiding behind the pro booky rules applying in Gibraltar.
I like Barney Curley. He stuffed the bookies fair and square. Some paid out with good grace, some with bad grace and some welshed.
Would Betfreed have given Barney his stakes back if the horses he and his family and friends had backed had all lost? I think not.

Definitely not, he should have had detractors queueing up to object
to his bid, but of course a mild form of bribery was involved in his spiel.

I must say I wasn't sure about Betfred.
However their rutheless decsion to dodge the bets they laid is a disgrace. I have closed my account with them and told them why.
I would seriously encourage all other punters to do the same.

The last Barney Curley coup.
They paid up on the bets laid in the uk operation, but the internet site was in Gibraltar.
They welshed on the bets in Gib because they could get away with it there.
