Eric, some of us actually fancy some 100-1 shots, in the long run you dont make money following the croud.ok, even if you look to trade to get your stake back at say 25-1, you still have a good lump running for you. from what i can see its only meat loaf and myself fancy this horse. we may be way off the mark, but if we are not...............happy days. Anyone can put up a fav. we like to put something up thats left field. Its for other to look at the merits and act accordingly.

Excellent news! I would prefer it to skip the 2000 gunieas and go directly for the Derby. I see it as much more of a stanima horse. Hoepfully it will finsh a staying on second or third on saturday to force them to go for The Derby.

think it was always the plan, guineas then see how he does before thinking about the derby. For me, should he win guineas the derby must be next port of call.

Dunboyne Express has no chance against Carlton House.
Travelled to England once and ran poor and will do again.
It's a decent horse but not a Derby horse and certainly not a Derby winner.

Dunboyne Express got stuffed out of sight by former Irish trained Casamento and Seville in the Racing Post Trophy last year.
He isn't good enough plus Carlton House is a stone better than Seville.

Meat Loaf, Thats done it, Mayweather says Dunboyne Express isnt good enough to win the derby.
I am sure you have backed him at 100-1 plus, what are you going to do now, it seems your now in such a weak position ,LOL.
Seriously Meat Loaf, Mayweather is the forum Idiot, few, if any, take notice of him.

Meat Loaf - I am meant to be the forum idiot but it seems I pick more winners on here that Essexguy and his mates.
How does that work? lol
It's like when De La Hoya was trying to tell Hatton how to beat Mayweather but De La Hoya couldn't beat him lol

It depends if Meat Loaf wants to tip his mates winners or losers.
If he needs a winner he should listen to me.
If he wants a loser he will certainly listen to you, you muppet.

I genuiely believe this is a Derby horse. I am concerned that the Guineas and Derby are only 2 weeks apart though.
The trainer said the horse was lame after the Racing Post. In my opinion it looks a weak Derby this year and if it runs must have a chance.

I have backed the express at 66-1, but have been pinching a few quid for the Irish Guineas this weekend. Its the weakest grade 1 classic I've seen for a long time. Dubawi Gold dosnt look good enough and was running through beaen horses to come second behind Frankel.
If you beleive what KP says about the express then he wasnt right last year, and he looked like he had plenty of improvement in him on his reappearance. KP states if he makes the 1st 3 then he's defo going for the Derby, all being well.
The 11-4 still available for Saturday is a steal.
Lump on, and play a bit at the 40's for the Derby, as come Saturday night that will look huge.

There are only two weeks between the Abu Dhabi Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh and the Investec Derby at Epsom, but that hasn't stopped horses running well in both races in the past.
The most recent example is Jim Bolger's New Approach who was second to Henrythenavigator before winning the Derby in 2008.
The English 2000 Guineas is often cited as a very good Derby trial, and although the Irish Guineas lies later in the calendar, there is no reason why it should be less of a pointer.
The reason it doesn't have as strong a record is merely the timing; not many trainers are prepared to step a horse up half a mile in trip just 14 days after running in a Group One over a mile.
However that isn't something which seems to be concerning Kevin Prendergast, and as a result his DUNBOYNE EXPRESS looks like a great bit of value at 66/1 with Stan James for Epsom glory.
In April, Prendergast said: "The Derby would be on the agenda, depending on how he progresses in the Irish 2,000 Guineas - if he runs a good race at the Curragh, the Investec Derby would have to be considered."
At the time of writing he is a general 7/2 second favourite for Saturday's race at the Curragh and if he wins there (with favourite Dubawi Gold surely too short after a hard race at Newmarket, it must be fairly likely), then his price could easily crumble, putting us backers in a great position.
The Shamardal colt has won three of his four starts, only suffering defeat behind Casamento in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster where he seemed a little ring-rusty after suffering a setback in the mid-part of the season.
He was far from fit on his reappearance at Leopardstown, but still managed to show a nice turn of foot to win well.
After that Guineas trial Prendergast said: "I was very pleased with him at Leopardstown the other day. The runner-up, Exodus had tried to make the running in a Group 1 in France on very bad ground last year and just got tired the last furlong to finish fourth, so he's probably decent. I'd say it was a good trial. He couldn't be better after that run the other day."
His pedigree offers considerable hope that he will be fine on the likely quicker ground, with sire Shamardal putting in arguably his most impressive performance when winning the St James's Palace Stakes (at a rerouted York) on his sole start on quick ground.
Shamardal has already sired a French Derby (over 1m2f) winner (Lope De Vega last year), a race he himself won in 2005, and with Dunboyne Express's dam being a once-raced half-sister to Oaks winner Love Divine, there is every indication that the step up to a mile and a half will bring about further improvement.
