I have backed this filly for the oaks. Was really taken with her last year and a step up in trip should bring about big improvement. was suprised to see her running in guineas but am hoping to see her running on late. hoping she runs well. anyone any opinions on her?
She will surely come into her own over middle distances and won't have the speed to make an impact in the Guineas. If she manages to finish within a few lengths of the winner on Sunday, staying on steadily, then she looks a nice prospect over long trips for the rest of the season.

she wont be winning any guineas you would think. As you say james if she is staying on ill be happy. Cheers for taking the time for your 1000 guineas observations, great reading

She overcame her high draw in 16 to win, the only high draw horse to feature. Together 2nd was drawn 4, and Maqaasid 3rd drawn 3. Her winning time looks good compared to the other races.
If she can go up hill, down hill, and around a corner she has a great chance.
Good luck.

SOF, it's hard to say how Helleborine would have fared. I reckon she would have finished in front of Moonlight Cloud (who appeared not to stay), but whether she would have beaten Blue Bunting is another matter. The Boussac form hasn't worked out as well as I thought it would, with Misty For Me, Rainbow Springs and Mambia all disappointing since. I think White Moonstone would probably have beaten Blue Bunting today if she hadn't had to miss the race due to injury.

Suprise my foot. Somebody wasn't suprised as it went from 33s to 16s despite negative vibes. Unless newmarket has some decent shops, then i imagine the Princess knew it was a good horse. I can't see her turning up to watch it run a respectable derby prep. I think there will be some happy stable workers with a few bob in their pockets at Godolphin.

The Sunday meeting tends to attract lots of families, once a year racegoers etc - with Frankie on board, two 1's next to it's name and a decent price - hardly surprising if there were plenty of e/w bets on course.

Blue Bunting was an above average Guineas winner for me and should take all the beating in the Oaks. 3/1 is very fair imo.
The other horse to take out of the race for me was Maqaasid. She could be mustard if brought back to sprint distances, she was travelling best of all 2 out then her stamina folded. 40/1 for the Golden Jubilee looks interesting.
