She was certainly unlucky not to win on her reappearance, when she was short of room and hampered at a crucial stage of the race before finishing well (just a length behind the winner at the line), but that was only a conditions race and the form is nowhere near classic standard. She was well regarded by Robert Collet last season, but she was completely outclassed by Helleborine in the Prix d'Aumale and simply doesn't look good enough to make an impact in the Guineas. She has never raced on a fast surface but her pedigree doesn't suggest that she is likely to improve significantly for racing on fast ground for the first time - she's by Pivotal (a soft ground influence) out of a Sadler's Wells mare whose sole victory came on heavy ground. Definitely a 100/1 shot (in my book).

While Immortal Verse has improved significantly since last year, Helleborine (who beat her so easily last year) has regressed. It would be good to see Helleborine return to something like her best, but I fear she may not have trained on...

Very good win yesterday thanks, james. The Guineas was a year off in the Bahamas, though
I think you're right with Helleborine. I'm certainly in no hurry to support her atm.
