its hard to quantify what a horse has to do to become champion of the world but im pretty sue she hasnt done it....yet!

when she beats the likes of rocket man etc etc then maybe!! impressive again today but was asked to go and win her race, wasnt as smooth as the newmarket handicap  but ultimately won as she liked, v nice horse indeed, looking forward to apr 9th.

the thing is these races...like the lightening and the newmarket have been tried and trusted races for past champions.

takeover target, starspangled, miss andretti, scenic blast etc etc and she's winning them with so much ease and better than they ever did.

the horses in behind are no mugs. Crystal Lily would do very well at Ascot...just a shame she'll be classed as a 4yr old of she came over.

Being classed as 4 didnt stop Starspangledbanner.

I was lucky enough to be there Friday and she certainly is proving a great draw card for racing but I think they have got to the bottom of her now.

She was obviously not at the same level as she was on Newmarket day. Less than 2 weeks between runs might have seen her a touch flat but she still powered away from a good filly in Crystal Lily and a good colt in Hinchinbrook.
