adding Snow Fairy. I do wonder if she is good enough via form with Midday, but think she should be closer to 10/1 tbh than 14/1 now she is a confirmed runner, and some firms offer 1/3 odds.

yes it is an awful name for a horse innit. Just thought IF the going was as quick as feared then from a good draw the front runners of those near the pace might get a soft leaf and be hard to peg back like At First Sight was in the Derby. Worth a tickle at the prices.
Apparently they have overwatered. ..

Racy 1pt win 12/1 bet3.65 .. took 14/1 at PP's, but they are only 10's now.
Caveat .. dry and mild weather forecast so possibility of being a NR if it is too quick, but given he loves York and chances to win this season are running out they may chance it.

Up two pounds for his last run sint, what do you think? Looked the winner last time alright but the return to 6 furlongs is the concern for me. Will probably still back him though

the return to 6f is a slight concern I agree, but he was staying on strongly (racing post comments) over 5 on GS and actually won his maiden over a stiff 6 at Ponte. The trip is of small concern but I suspect they will hold him a bit like last time. All I know is he is in the form of his life at the moment so will back him wherever he runs. 2lbs is nothing imo, with a clear run he'd have won comfortably imo and gone up 6 or 7.

Julie Burke takes off 5lb , I suspect because Makin is at Newmarket. She has 22% strike rate for trainer so not concerned tbh, just the trip is a small ??

Doubts about trip and ground BUT imo he is the best horse in the race, as such I cannot let him go unbacked at the price

Well done to those of you who have stuck at it all season and managed to find a few winners.

Not the grand finale that I had hoped for but nice to get a winner. Final balance -19 Good job I didn't put many selections up otherwise it could have been much worse!
No idea what happened to F&G in his last couple of runs, APOC. Suspect that he may need 2 miles these days? I wondered that after he made heavy weather of that listed race back in May. Doesn't really seem to make sense though seeing as he was top class over a mile & a half at 3 and 4. Maybe a different approach to his training this season? Who knows!

several firms offering 5 places on the Melbourne Cup, so allied with a decent draw (14 of last 16 winners have been drawn 7-14) I have plumped for two obvious runners.

I'm afraid I don't know too much about Dirt racing trev, though on his staying form in France-beat the melbourne cup winner- he would have to go close if he handles the surface. Is he bred for it?? I would imagine he would start a far bigger price on the US tote than the current 8/1 here?

I would have been really sweet on Await the Dawn, but the serious setback he suffered and subsequent long lay off make him unbackable for me Midday looks the most likely to run to form, her experience of these race conditions should ensure she finishes placed at least imo

Not looked Trev but i'd probably back Meeznah in that for the umpteenth time this season.
Apoc, I take the opposite view on ATD. Comes he fresh and positive AOB has elected for an American based Jockey. V.competitive though.

Not often LL but did catch his piece earlier today on ATR.
re the horse, she will like conditions etc and his form in his last two runs, ofcourse she is 6 now but over half the field is 5+ so 18/1 worth a smash.
I strongly disagree with his comments on Willing Foe, though. He thinks that horse was 100% fit lto and there is no reason to think he'd improve. SBS likes to give some of his a run, but my concern would be the Soft going.

I signed in at around 11am and never thought it would be still available, couldn't resist when I'd seen they were still 5/2.
I thought it would last for about 15 min tbh.

I do have Sichuan Succes for the HK Mile at 28's but wont take any credit for that whatsoever as someone on twitter flagged it up. But I have backed him.
