Rarely bet in Apprentice Handicaps, they make me feel sick, but have backed Royal Swain to win the 5.00 at York today. He has a piece of form from earlier in the season where he finished 2nd to Kiama Bay, conceding him weight, and that horse is now rated 99. Today Royal Swain runs off 78,less the jockeys 5lb claim! 7/2.

Don't usually back shorties but i'm going to have a cut at the fav in Irish Leger. Race should cut up badly imo and he will surely start odds on. Ran some really flat races lately, at short prices too but is down in the weights as a result. 6f on G/S is ideal imo and drawn right against the fence gives him every chance if back on song. |
