A wonderful race, really strong emotional event with Kauto and Denman having one final fling. It even looked for a while that they would turn back the clock.
I haven't bothered looking at ratings yet but Long Run is a fine horse and may go on to get close to the ratings Kauto and Denman managed in their time.
It was a shame in some ways Long Run handled the course so well. Imagine the sense of awe we would have had if Denman had won it again today from Kauto?

it's a strange one really....2 horses who are probably a couple years past their absolute best....and the winner who is probably a couple years short of what will be his best.!!
one thing though...ominmously...we could be moving into an era of total dominance, with little competition to long run.
I'm not sure about that Duffy. There always emerges a new kid on the block from somewhere.
