Yeh I can understand the reasoning but when he's backed down from 16/1 to 7/2 and then you get Sweet Lightning beating Brae Hill it does leave a bitter taste. You'd have to think he would have won if given the chance to show what he can do.

The trainers first priority is to look after the horse for it's owner .
He felt the ground with the bare patches and sand was not suitable so withdrew the horse . Gosden shouldn't be slated just because punters ante-post bets went down the drain .If you back ante-post [ i don't ] then you are taking a big chance .The only thing i find a bit strange about all this is why he ran his other horse ? |
