I know I keep banging on about this football team on the wrong forum, but the football forum is full of MU fans and haters so:

Forfar remain excellent value for Scottish Div 2. however their last 8 games have seen them win 5 and draw 3. Two of those games they played with either 10 or 9 men for most of the match because of unfortunate sendings off.

They are now within striking distance of the lead and the leaders, Livingston, Forfar have already beaten pretty easily.

Make no mistake Forfar will be thereabouts at the end of the season.

All this is very well if they were priced up correctly - they are not. Even after cutting them from the very stupid 28/1 they had them at, VC have now  gone a still rather rash 20/1 - a gimmie.

you think they can still place at least?

Forfar played no league games because of weather from early November till last Tuesday. Since then although rusty they have won 2 away games and drawn one at home despite missing s sitter in the last few minutes.

They are, having seen them, as good as any side in the division and they do have a sizeable squad as well. They have 2 players, Hilson (on loan from Dundee Utd) and Beasley (a former Dundee player) who have skill and pace. They have a bean poll 6;5 inch centre forward who although a bit slow is skillful, and they have a mean defense. They also have strong and shrewd manager who likes to win very much.

One of the 3 teams above them (and they have games in hand on all of them) is Ayr United who Forfar smashed 4:1 when they met last. They have nothing to fear from Livingston and when they played the other fancied team, brechin, they were very unlucky to only draw at Brechin (and I saw the game too).

The Forfra players have all backed themselves to win the division and team spirit is strong.

Yes they are decent value at about 10/1 and they are 20/1, as I say a no brainer.

Anyone still going 3 places?

After seeing off one old promotion rival Alloa (an easy 3-0 win that I witnessed) they have now been cut to 16/1.

This price is still utter madness.

Forfar have another game (this time at home against Alloa) on Tuesday whilst the 2 team immediately above them (Brechin and Ayr) meet on the same night.
As things stand now Forfar are only 2 points behind Ayr and 3 behind Brechin, with a game in hand on both of them. They met Ayr earlier in the season and thrashed them 4-1 (could have been 8-1)). it is not any exaggeration to say that it is very likely that Forfar will soon be ahead og Alloa and level with Brechin, and within striking distance of Livingston. If as seems quite possible on Tuesday, Ayr lose and Forfar win, Forfar will be a point clear of Ayr with a game in hand.

Now look at the stupid prices offered. Top priced ar Ayr 6/1, Brechin 4/1 and Forfar 16/1 - utter madness. It would be my honest assessment that Forfar and Brechin shoube around 100/30 each and Ayr out at around 8/1.

sometimes the bookies ar stubborn. They had Frofra doiwn as favourites for relegation at the start of the season, and in spite of what is considerable evidence to the contray have priced them as no hopers ever since.

Forfra have now gone 9 league games unbeaten, winning 6. They have won their last 3 away games without conceding a goal, and look to be long odds on to win afagin on Tuesday.

16/1? That is taking the P1ss.

Hi cry, I posted in the old thread from earlier in the season and followed you at 25/1 ew when it was still 3 places. (You can double check if you find it, I'm not aftertiming!) I'm not going in to back them again, but good to see you're still very confident. It was a long old winter with no games for nearly 3 months and in truth I almost forgot about the bet but now it's certainly giving me something to look forward to for the next couple of months. All the best, top work, hope you get your rewards.

To be honest I have traded at silly odds on here for a decent bet to nothing.

I did take advantage of the 123 place odds of 28/1 with VC who were very silly, and clearly need more diligent traders in their football department.

Yep, surely they are odds-on for a top 3 finnish right now, and we have 5/1 place bets on that even if they don't win the title.

I just went on VC to see what price they for Forfar.

When I was there I noticed they are 7/5 to beat Alloa at home? Confused

Oddschecker says they are 5/6 but if you actually go on their website its 7/5 ?

Hammer this
Green up on here
Profit?

All their Division match prices for tomorrow look screwed up. 6/5 the draw? Whats going on here?

Forfar played appallingly against Alloa, and were very lucky to get a point to be honest.

Amazing - same team they thrashed 3-0 only 3 days earlier away from home. They didn't look like the same team. On Saturday they passed the ball about and smashed in 40 yeard thunderbolts. On Tuesday they couldn't pass water.

Still that's now 10 games unbeaten and there is bound to be the odd blip in the run of great results.
