any ideas if willie will put QE back in the race ? faint hopes I know.

Timmy gave JD a shocker lto, and I had no financial involvement in the race, it did make me back JD for the RSA tho.
|

By:
yeah QE back in

He is sj but a bigger price. Originally priced at 5/2 with PP at the five day stage, but now they go 7/2. Given that ante-post rules apply, I wonder if they are trying to tempt a few in and he'll actually take up another engagement.

Mullins said he could run saturday, sunday or next sunday so good luck [;)]

Quel Esprit now runs in the DR PJ Moriarty - And so does Mikael.
What is Willie like ![]() |

Crazy stuff by willie. What a life line if you back quel esprit antepost. Not nice if you backed the beast at a short price.

He said QE missed the race last week because of a sore foot ... 7 days later he is OK which seems about right to me ..
|
|
By:
Yep, even though it would suit me not to have him in the race that racing for you Sint.
Hate all this crying about trainers changing their minds! A lot can happen in a week in racing - just look at poor Cooldine, was 2nd fav for the Hennessy 2days ago, could be finished now. Rough with the smooth - will usually level itself out over time. |

i've certainly got lucky with the cancellation Das. I will not get a run for my money when I thought 2pt and more in acca's had gone down the pan.
That said, you could say I got unlucky with the horse pulling his shoe off 2 days before the race anyway! As you say, swings and roundabouts. |

* now get a run

By:
who is on top of Quel tomorrow?
|
|
By:
emmet is on him. Quel Esprit looks a decent price at 7/2 considering he was 4/1f when the book opened.
|
|
By:
Emmit Mullins.

I am confused. Mullins has double entered both MKD and QE at the w/e. Is he planning to run both in this race or save one for Navan? Or is Navan a back up plan for either or both if an early casualty? Or is a a safety net incase racing abandoned?
|
|
By:
Plan is both run 2mw, Navan is the back up plan.

Okay thanks

More comedy classics from comedy duo sintonian and CVByrne ... priceless stuff at least they have noticed horses have 4 legs, Quel Esprit fell in this and the RSA following my observations, Mikael fell in the RSA ... yeah 'dont get sucked in by me' CVByrne .. lol
By: This user is offline. sintonian When: 23 Jan 11 15:53 Ignore the Susp bit. These are laddies odds and they are still live, as I just placed a bet on Quel Esprit. By: This user is offline. sintonian When: 23 Jan 11 16:00 reasosn are .. He jumped great on his debut, the trip looks plumb at this stage of his career, the form has been franked twice by Torphicen, and also on aline through Noble Prince. Blazing Tempo also represents Mullins. She has been a new aquisition for the yard and so far she has looked top class. But IF she runs in the (also has another engagement in a Mares race) she will be taking on the boys and needs to improve. MDH - taking a risk here but not toally sure he will run. And even if he does, who wants to back ? He did bounce last time, but there was more to it than that imo, he jumped to his right and hung, why not just give him an easy assignment somewhere before trying for a Grade 1 again?! Quito De La Roque is a class horse, but he needs a real test of stamina, usually on Heavy ground, and this trip is short of 3 miles. Magnanimity - won last time out and is lightly raced, but was in receipt of weight from Jessies Dream and was a fortunate win that day, as Jessies Dreams jumping let him down badly on the final circuit and he jumped right at the last fence costing him a precious few lengths, and was only beat half a length at the finish. The rest dont look good enough imvho. Taking a risk as the race is still 2 weeks aways, and you can never be sure a horse will run, but the race looks tailormade for QE to my mind so chanced it.
