hes a value lay at that price imo
Report flushgordon January 12, 2011 7:59 PM GMT
12 fallers and that could be a reasonable bet.
Report Panto Prince January 12, 2011 8:07 PM GMT
9999/1 would more accurately reflect the beasts chances.

Its probably 999/1 soft ground on Gold Cup day.

Nicky has officially mentioned the "Gold Cup" today. Apparently the form is in fantastic form - this could be very interesting [:D]

Will never bet ever again if Money Trix wins the Gold Cup
Report Meat Loaf February 1, 2011 5:37 PM GMT
If the ground is soft he is the only one who can take on Imperial Commander over that distance.
Report Far From Trouble February 1, 2011 5:41 PM GMT
Money Trix wouldn't live with Denman off level weights on any ground, never mind Imperial Commander
Report Meat Loaf February 1, 2011 5:44 PM GMT
You might change your mind after the weekend [;)]

Money Trix needs 5 miles and a ploughed field to be seen at his best! Maybe the Pardibuce would be more up his street!
Report Harchibaldy February 2, 2011 1:08 AM GMT
I'm just playing devil's advocate (when slating his prospects) because I'm tired of Meat Loaf beating this fcukin' drum, but FWIW, if there is a bit of rain, Money Trix layers (especially for the frame) will be quaking in their Y-fronts on the big day - there have been much poorer horses placed in Gold Cups in the last 10 years, and there are so many question marks about virtually all the runners. I backed Mon Mome last year, for the frame (and I was duly ridiculed) without the Nicholl's duo (anticipating I'd get in the first 5) and MM could run through beaten horses - that's exactly how it panned out and I'll be looking for a similar bet on Money Trix - he jumps & stays well and his only question mark concerns the ground.....he's never raced on even good going, so I won't be backing until I'm assured of his participation - who's to say he won't improve for it?
A bold show at the weekend and my value bet will disappear Sad
Report Mr Mischief February 2, 2011 11:12 AM GMT
There's genuine value to be had in backing him @ double figures this wkend. Joncol is very limited, Cooldine is useless and PoD didn't prove much by beating Punchestowns. It's as poor a grade 1 as you'll find and Money trix could well take full advantage
Report revedesivola February 2, 2011 11:15 AM GMT
i think the listener might go well
Report woodworm February 2, 2011 1:27 PM GMT
China Rock and Kempes have it between them imo.
Report trev w February 2, 2011 5:22 PM GMT
tbf..he is overpriced for the weekend...and have had a bit in him...kempes being my other...
and if he did win...his price would indeed contract..so you could trade if thats your thing.
Report Winnerallrite February 9, 2011 4:39 PM GMT
Agree Money Trix has serious chance in Hennessy as has decent course form, can run well and may well be value, surly can lay off the prices you have got on him for gold cup wouldnt mind having 250/1 to place for the gold cup!
make do with 66/1 non runnner no bet eachway
Report Meat Loaf February 9, 2011 6:08 PM GMT
Could run a huge race in the Gold Cup - hopefully will run well on Saturday and will be evn better at Cheltenham over the longer distance.

Doesn't dare say anything about the horse when it's alive and there's a chance he may be proven wrong, but as soon as MT dies he's having a go at the beast. Classy.
