In the hope that this meeting goes ahead, i quite like the look of this horse. She ran really well in a big field handicap at the Punchestown festival on only her 5th start over fences on ground which, even though her trainer says she would have appreciated, looked a bit quick for her (she has a proper roundy action) and on her first attempt at 3 miles, staying on really well to the line. caught the eye on her prep over hurdles, being last turning for home but stayed on well to the line into 4th behind Ainama. Paul Nolan has an all weather gallop so he should have been able to keep her going during the cold snap, Ruby Walsh whos got a 1,1,2,2, record on her says she really enjoys jumping. Pity hes not available! All in all 20-1 looks fair enough. Anyone any opinions?

Would like to see some form from the Nolan team before punting any of theirs- they've been very quiet lately.

Agreed carvills, his good novice hurdler ran like a drain on Wednesday.

Ilike shuil aris too ...if Nolan's are in form. Good pipeopener last timeout imo. I've taken the 20s....hope he's still an intended runner -anyone any news to the contrary?

Sorry to bear bad news fistful. The horse hasnt been declared at the 6 day stage. Dont know the reason but when youve done your dough it doesnt really matter (thankfully I was holding off to closer the day). I was also interested in Skippers Brig but whilst he is still in the race he did miss an intended spin over hurdles last week at Bangor - dont know why. He has won first time up but was only 3rd last season on debut. Think hes fairly treated (a pound lower than when 3rd to Poquelin at Chelters last December) and lightly raced. Whether they get over there is a different matter!

Thanks Betilyred - I feared as much...just thought the 20s would go....agreed with skippers brig though - would be interesting if he's taken over there - stable must fancy him....I backed him when 3rd at cheltenham when he looked nailed hard fit (though I did Noble Alan at 22s in the AP Gold Cup a couple of weeks back too!)...not my month...
