Running of a mark of 149, he won the race in 2008 of 153. Forget his last race as he was badly hampered and basically came to a standstill. He has run some back to form races at the back end of last season against Joncol and behind Glencove Marina this season. Im sure the ground will be testing and he will be a tough nut to crack.

Agree, was running a good race last day until almost being brought to a standstill by faller. Track and trip suit and I fancy him to run a big race again. Has the race been confirmed as an intended target ?

I think they are saying the season will be planned around the Grand National, yet i would be amazed if they didnt concentrate on taking the Welsh National with prize money of £100,000. He is made for the race. Dreaper will know they have a very big shout of winning the race once again.

If they really want to win the Grand National they will look after his handicap mark.

Would be running off a brilliant mark. Surely connections will realise that he's just no good on good ground and this £100k prize is theoretically theirs for the taking.

Strange things happen with trainers etc, but connections would find it impossible not to concentrate on the Welsh National given the race conditions. Good ground would be against NP come April.
