Well its all a bit lonely on here.  Gd/sft at the moment with more rain on the way.  1pt e/w The Betchworth Kid for me.  Loves the track, laid out, back on a mark 2 lbs lower than 2yrs ago when second, should have his ground, Dale Swift takes off 5lb, trainer in form, just running into form and is a massive 20's.  Easy this game!
Report TINnotaTON November 1, 2010 10:46 PM GMT
backed betchworth last time at ascot and cant see this being 20-1 come saturday, also like montaff who was just behind in the same race and again is 20-1 with sadcrooks. more rain the better for him.
good luck with your bets..

High Office
Senate
Betchworth Kid

Those three actually pass the primary stage but these don't

Simeon
Classic Vintage

the primary stage is based upon
Age,
Weights,
Number of runs (according to age)
Form of latest runs.

There's a long way to go yet though
We will know more tomorrow when the decs are declared.
Then there is a lot of delving into the Matrix of a number of determined factors
Surprised there are selections put up at already!!
Report Pinza November 3, 2010 8:25 PM GMT
Montaff doesn't pass the primary stage either

What horse is richard hughes on?
Report Darren Lamb November 3, 2010 10:05 PM GMT
senate
Report Facts November 3, 2010 10:06 PM GMT
^i'm sure i read somewhere it was Senate.
Report Facts November 3, 2010 10:10 PM GMT
^ Its being heavily backed. 6/1 generally (down to 9/2 with SJ). 10/1 was freely available yesterday.
Report booster November 4, 2010 8:00 AM GMT
When the money comes for a Gosden horse in a race like this, it's usually a good idea to follow it. Glad I'm already on at 10-1.

Willing Foe for me,not that great a  price but as 'they' say going the right way and loves the track
Report Facts November 4, 2010 11:37 AM GMT
senate/hughes confirmed
Report booster November 4, 2010 12:41 PM GMT
Can't see Willing Foe liking the ground if it gets softer.
Report town moor November 4, 2010 7:58 PM GMT
May not get softer, just a shower this afternoon, loads of rain on the forecast for tomorrow but bbc video shows it skirting around us.
Report bornisthekingofSB November 4, 2010 8:49 PM GMT
yep would be a worry (going for WF) but pretty sure his half brother Michita went on it,but not ideal backing something which hasn't raced on the going
Report Zman19 November 4, 2010 8:57 PM GMT
i dont think Willing Foe will run, get on senate at 7-1, it will start fav
Report bornisthekingofSB November 4, 2010 8:59 PM GMT
why wont WF run Zman?  thanks for any advice
Report PFtrader November 4, 2010 8:59 PM GMT
I want to back The Betchworth Kid in this but only if the ground is genuinely soft.

After the going description debacle at the last Donnie meeting I won't be parting with a shilling here until I see the first few races on Saturday.
Report Zman19 November 4, 2010 9:36 PM GMT
Soft ground,it wouldnt suprise me if senate is 4-1 fav on sat. im on e/w @ 7-1. Be lucky.
Report town moor November 5, 2010 8:16 AM GMT
Completely dry night, only a millimetre of rain in my (bucket) weather centre since yesterday morning.
Report bornisthekingofSB November 5, 2010 8:36 AM GMT
cheers TM

Saved on Simenon at Ladbrokes 16-1. Ran in the Bahrain Trophy, Voltigeur, handicap mark steadily falling, then travelled like the best horse in a 2 mile handicap at Newmarket behind Theola, patently failing to stay, having been the last horse off the bridle. Looks to have been saved for this and one of very few I'd give much chance to.
Report sintonian November 5, 2010 2:23 PM GMT

Report town moor November 5, 2010 4:26 PM GMT
Very light drizzle for the last hour, plenty up above but not much falling.
Report bornisthekingofSB November 5, 2010 4:38 PM GMT

no dan but the maps i was reading suggested they'd be getting rain this afternoon and over friday night/sat morning .. has been p1ssing it down everywhere esle in the area, imo

Simenon stands out for me - 14s still look too big, could be a very well handicapped horse in this
Report town moor November 6, 2010 12:28 AM GMT
Sint, we've had no rain (other than the bit of drizzle mentioned earlier) my bucket is dry and the skies are clear. Good luck all.
Report platinni November 6, 2010 12:57 AM GMT
whats the ground like iyo tm?
Report town moor November 6, 2010 8:13 AM GMT
Had a walk around on thursday and thought gd/sft, can't see there being any real change since then.
Report sintonian November 6, 2010 9:18 AM GMT
gs/s in places .. dry day forecast so prop gs by 3.10. the weather charts I have been reading all week have been totally inaccurate.
Report town moor November 6, 2010 9:30 AM GMT
The soft bit is between the leger start and the 10f pole. Weather forecast have been useless as you say, less than 1/3rd inch of rain in my bucket all week.
Report Trusty November 6, 2010 9:39 AM GMT
Another mad selection from me but I do think Thin Red Line at
40/1 E/W with Stan James is a value bet. 6lb better off for a
2.25L beating by Senate over C&D gives hime every chance imo. Trainer has had 4 winners from 8 runners in the last week and no runner
outside the first four. Also noticed Godsen horses look that they
are over the top.

2PT E/W @ 40/1 SJ 1,2,3,4,5.
