I'm entertaining doubts about how many of these will be trying or are fully wound up, as they don't want a penalty for the Melbourne Cup. Pinching myself and reminding myself that this is a $2.5m race or sumfink, and that they will all be trying.
Of the Internationals, Mr Medici seems a nice price.
Personally hoping that another comes out so that Mourayan gets a run.
I think there has been too much of a reaction to Descarado's first, bad run in Melbourne, and that he is a nice price as well.

Don't ask me, I've never picked a winner in this race, it's always been an utter minefield, I would take something 10-14/1 though as that appears to be the trend, and of course a front runner.
Caulfield is probably my favourite of all courses in the world, not for betting though! And as any ex-Monash boy knows, you have to do your exams in the actual course!!

ta1 v impressive but he would be up against this beast if he comes over for the 2011 golden jubilee at Ascot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqqnGmHdQM8
That would be a race to savour.
As for the Caulfield Cup its Metal bender for me.

Yes Dream Ahead is a 2 yo and imo will be champion sprinter in europe next year. This will be the horse the Aussie raiders will have to beat to claim our goup 1 sprints. Having said that both Black Caviar and Hay List look like serious group 1 sprinters. Hope they both make it over next summer.

It is expected to be very wet on Saturday, so not totally sure of the trainers intentions. Would really like drunken sailor to get a run, but am more keen on that horses chances for the melbourne cup.

Hey, its good when a plan comes together. Training for 18 years, 100+ G1 wins, but none of the big 3. Then decide a year ago to go for the big 3, and success first time up.
