Haven't got a clue really.

I'm entertaining doubts about how many of these will be trying or are fully wound up, as they don't want a penalty for the Melbourne Cup.  Pinching myself and reminding myself that this is a $2.5m race or sumfink, and that they will all be trying.

Of the Internationals, Mr Medici seems a nice price.

Personally hoping that another comes out so that Mourayan gets a run.

I think there has been too much of a reaction to Descarado's first, bad run in Melbourne, and that he is a nice price as well.

Don't ask me, I've never picked a winner in this race, it's always been an utter minefield, I would take something 10-14/1 though as that appears to be the trend, and of course a front runner.

Caulfield is probably my favourite of all courses in the world, not for betting though! And as any ex-Monash boy knows, you have to do your exams in the actual course!!

He's first emergency isn't he?
Report topweight October 12, 2010 5:13 PM BST
ta1 v impressive but he would be up against this beast if he comes over for the 2011 golden jubilee at Ascot.

That would be a race to savour.

As for the Caulfield Cup its Metal bender for me.

Isn't Hay List the best sprinter is Australia?
Report The Big O October 13, 2010 4:53 AM BST

Report ta1 October 13, 2010 10:24 AM BST
isnt Dream Adead a 2yo, 3 next year?
Please. long way for it to go!
Hay List is right up there with Black Caviar. Hay List more likely to travel
Report top3 makin ahern and de souza October 13, 2010 9:10 PM BST
i am firmly in the black caviar camp
Report topweight October 14, 2010 6:34 AM BST
Yes Dream Ahead is a 2 yo and imo will be champion sprinter in europe next year. This will be the horse the Aussie raiders will have to beat to claim our goup 1 sprints. Having said that both Black Caviar and Hay List look like serious group 1 sprinters. Hope they both make it over next summer.

Looks like you are in luck Me2. Sounds like Zabrasive is going to be scratched, so Mourayan as the first emergency will get a run.
Report bobby.s October 14, 2010 12:19 PM BST
But Mourayan wont run in forecast ground
Report SergeantMarcel October 14, 2010 12:47 PM BST
It is expected to be very wet on Saturday, so not totally sure of the trainers intentions. Would really like drunken sailor to get a run, but am more keen on that horses chances for the melbourne cup.

whats gerald mosse' record in australia?
Report Joel October 15, 2010 8:52 PM BST
It's been raining here all day yesterday and all night. This meeting has to be in serious doubt imo
Report Me2 October 15, 2010 9:51 PM BST
Mosse has got two rides over 2000m, so I'll tell ya after that. Laugh

Should be all he needs.  He has won every G1 in Hong Kong at least once.
Report BJG October 17, 2010 11:24 AM BST
Trainer on speed or summit in the interview afterwards imo Laugh
Report Me2 October 17, 2010 12:44 PM BST
Hey, its good when a plan comes together.  Training for 18 years, 100+ G1 wins, but none of the big 3.  Then decide a year ago to go for the big 3, and success first time up.
Report AussiInUK October 17, 2010 2:23 PM BST
I'll tell you what Mosse's record should be, a criminal one. The idiot.
