Highly successful last year..
The Top 40 contained the following Cheltenham crackers.. Copper Bleu Great Endeavour Peddlers Cross Spirit River Plus.. Alaivan Alfie Sherrin Bensalem Long Run Manyriverstocross Oscar Whiskey Reve De Sivola Somersby Wishfull Thinking That's before the 'obvious' ones, Punchestowns, Diamond Harry, Pandorama.. An impressive list that's for sure Ps, I'm not Mark Howard either.. |

My wife is fine.
So just to recoup, how did MH know about Spirit River before his perfect english debut ?? (before me, i add) I knew SR was at least listed, so maybe the owners look into how well the horse is handicapped before buying ![]() I have probably told you all before, if SR had not smashed the 2nd last at newbury..... Then again i would not been able to have my biggest bet on SR at chelts. |

This year I'll keep a record of bets placed on the basis of info derived from One Jump Ahead. If I lose, it won't stop me buying it again as Mark's a really genuine guy and it's been obvious for years that the trainers he speaks to appreciate him as well and tell him as it is. My favourite is Donald McCain (Jnr). It's up to us to make what we want from the information presented to us.
If anyone else feels like doing the same we could compare notes on % profit (hopefully)at the end of what promises to be a great season. If all goes well great, if not just quietly tiptoe away. Good luck. |

I've bought this book for the last 6/7 seasons and it really is a great read.
What do you guys think Spirit River will be like over fences? Does he look like he's made for chasing iyo? At the moment he's my very early Arkle fancy!! |

By:
Mark is a sound judge and very unassuming - nice guy who puts a lot of work into the game

Cheers for the heads up Bobby :)
Always a sign the jumps are just around the corner. Roll on chelters :) |

just had a look and see that he returned a 41% strike rate last season.... £479.90 to £10 level stake.... anyone have the stats for previous years? be interested to see! ;-)

last year was only abou 119 i think.
ive got books going back to around 2000 and from memory his worst profit was 2 years it was under 100 mostly above 200 and never a loss. That said Ive never followed it blind. Anthony Bromleys 'best buys' section returned nearly £800 for a tenner last year. |
