What's this horse doing in the Niel?  The only Fabre survivor from the forfeit stage, he's only run once when looking a tad green but ultimately dotting up at Clairefontaine.  He's had all the big entries and very nearly got on the track at Longchamp back in April but was a late defector.  Being a big bull of a horse the time off might not have been such a bad thing.  Very closely related to Manduro, is Andre about to put the gun to his head?

He is also entered in the Chaudenay over 3000 metres on 2nd October.

He is, along with 6 other Fabres...none of the others are in the Niel, though.  I supsect Brigantin will be the stable No.1 for the Chaudenay.  Would you not say a choicely-bred, unbeaten, Tabor-owned, Fabre-trained beast is not of, at the very least, mild interest for the Arc, equi?

I would Headmaster and after reading your post briefly made him favourite for the arc on here! I'm not exactly a big hitter, it's just the lack of liquidity surrounding the beast, encouraging really as layers clearly don't know what view to take.

That is why I was surprised at the Chaudenay entry the day before and no Arc entry. I suppose they could supplement him, but not the usual style of Coolmore. More likely to scatter entries everywhere than supplement.
I am sure they will want at least a GP2 win this year, GP1 next year then off to stud.
They will want a return on their £450K.

What about the ****, if it wins this race it could go off 1/3 on the PMU for the ARC

Not Coolmore's usual style because O'Brien enters everything in everything so they're never in that position!  They're more than happy for other trainers to supp in, though (Papal Bull - Derby for instance).  What wouldn't be usual style imo is Fabre chucking an inexperienced horse into a hot Niel just as a Chaudenay prep.  Could have easily run him in the Lutece or Saturday's Inter-Regional if that's all they thought he was?

Definitely bob. An intriguing race...shame no Scalo imo.

...hope you got something warming out of it Desmond!!

I'm going to put in a good word for Chinchon in the Foy, too.  An explosive effort last time and unlucky not to have won four of his last five now...on the upgrade and dangerous imo    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cENGa_YPruA

Fair point about O'Brien being the "scattergun" not Coolmore.
Fabre certainly won't worry about lack of experience, as proved by Rail Link, Doyen,Diamalina and Sagamix all of whom had maximum three previous runs.
I think Hurricane Run had only raced four times before the Arc.

Averaged around 80s HM, a decent effort on Sunday should see me be able to lay off for a freebie. Though I'm really hoping for a big run from Bek, as he has been my main fancy for the past couple of months and I strongly suspect that the winner will come from this race.
