I have bought tickets for national day in the  upper earl of derby stand inc seats

can you tell me anything about the stand? ie bars betting views etc

Upper Earl of Derby seats have a magnificent view but the stand itself is about 50yds past the winning line.  The stand is adjacent to the paddock so very little walking to do and right over the top of the horse entrance / exit.  I'm in the same place myself and you have made a good choice.

Taxi Southport to Ormskirk station, then direct train to Aintree (15 minutes) definitely the best way.

Have done the taxi then Train from ormskirk also.
Taxi will drop you in a industrial estate 5 mins walk to aintree from there.
Usually jump in a hack back,however not sure where we catch it from LaughLaugh
