But

They already knew Midas Touch was better than him so why not sell him. After all by all accounts he has been very tricky horse to train and their always seem to be a injury here or a injury there. Cut their losses and get rid once the bid came in. He was prob bought to race and not to retire as a Stallion. Racing in Meydan etc but i would also think TJ is spot on that he couldn't race in the leger as part of the deal

o brien typically enters his best colt in the derrinstown stud race (derby trial), which midas touch won this year. But mikhail glinka was entered in it originally. I thought glinka had the best chance of winning the leger, since midas touch is paceless and is bound to come up against something with a turn of foot.
