What happened to him at Hamilton IYO TD?

If the rain comes then Pavershooz - who has recently undergone a wind operation, and who would be fairly well handicapped on some of his old form, makes plenty of appeal.

Just noticed Pavershooz would need 9 to drop out to get a run.

The horse for money today has been Valery Borzov, and its not hard to see why.
Switched from Dandy to Richard Fahey at the end of last season he has only ran 3 times this season on (arguably) unsuitably fast ground.
In the Wokingham last time out he had only Genki, Noverre To Go (Stewards cup winner imo) and Rileyskeepingfaith ahead of him on his side of the track. Dropped 3lbs for that he returns to the scene of his career best effort (on RPR) when sauntering away with a soft ground handicap over course and distance in May '09.
If the rain contiues to come (now good, good to soft in places) and if the visor is put back on him, he'll surely run a big race.

He was very dissapointing carvills, was on the wrong side, but he didn't even win his side and just couldn't get into it. Have not heard what Goldie had to say about it, but still convinced he's got another good race in him. (Would be guessing hee's an unlikely runner in this though)

Valery Borzov is very interesting as Leo makes a good case and I'd have to agree with him, really looks to have been primed ready for this and the ground is turning his way.

is tombi gone iyos?

Plat,

No, Tombi's course record is -21248 with the 8 being a Listed contest. Runs off his lowest mark for over 2 years.
I'm watching this one as Howard Johnson worked a miracle with Kingdom Of Light recently, that one looked like he may have 'gone' but the yard managed to land a slight gamble (25's to 12 I think) when winning at Pontefract.
The sponsors are betting 1/4 odds first 5 and he appeals e/w at 33/1 plus imo.

I am really starting to believe this one has been laid out for this race. Been running over 5 and 7 on tracks that won't suit and now back to a flat track over 6f with a great course record. I firmly believe Tombi will run way better than 33/1 and I've been theiving bets on ew all afternoon on this one.

thanks lads, i agree.  his rprs for york read 103, 107, 110, 108, 91.  plus a 112 at the backend last year in the ayr gc

just think 98 underrates him with a nice draw and 33/1

Going to have a serious look at this in a bit, few faces getting on Tombi from what I've seen/heard. Cool

I have had a small bet on Tombi ew but if it was truly fancied would have expected Mulrennan on board instead of him riding at Newcastle.

In saying that I do like de sousa on sprinters

Yeah De Sousa looks a good booking

ive backed Tombi but HoJo may be aiming him at Ayr instead hence the jock booking wasnt trying on his first 2 runs this season, either he way hes looking well handicapped

I follow sprint handicaps quite closely. It's not very often a horse can suddenly win a big one in mid season after showing no form. I see what everyone's saying about his being well handicapped but it'll be an incredible training feat for him to win this. Same story about Valery Borzov.

Valery surely needs more dig?
Interesting shout on Tombi lads, about to have a look...

Tombi plus: has gone well off a break several times before
Possible minor Tombi minus: all wins on good/firm, but ground looked OK today and forecast dry.
All in all 33/1 too big.

Sunraider,Ben ? Possibly yeah but he did win his maiden on GF and ran well enough at Donny the time after on it. Not conclusive though and could prefer a bit of dig.

Think it probably is just a preference, they keep pulling him out though I think, in search of a little bit of cut.
I think I'm going to do Tombi and Hawkeye, both can have arguments made for them being over priced so happy with that.

Yep that could be right then if he has been pulled a couple of times. Not betting in this but see why Tombi is interesting. Have taken the view they will aim for Ayr but it's a guess.

Sonny Red could be interesting with Paul Quinn on for the first time. He struck a good partnership with Something in these sprints last year. But I cant stand the trainer. Think he misleads people [:o]  good luck!

Damika at 50s looks a bit of value. Theres is no doubt he and lowdown got the luck of teh draw at hamilton last week but at 5 times the price of Lowdown and with a 5lbs pull in the weights I feel he could run another good race today. gl

Have addded Hitchens here @ 20's with Jimmy Fortune riding for his old guvnor

Looks to me to have been priced up based on ground being softer than he likes whereas ground is reportedly good/good to firm
