Listed or Group 3...not sure its quite Group 1 standard.  Unless theres still more improvement in it.

Will it remain with M.Johnston or poss switch to boys in blue ?

Its been a charity back MJ horse recently

Anyone who hasn't cottened on to him and his exploitation of the wieght for age allowances needs thier head examining

June JULY and Aug are the 3 months every year where this is printing money following his horses in Handicapps over more than a mile...he seems to be the only trainer who does it all the time.

Wigmore Hall was another for another trainer...the 3yo's are closer to the older horses this time of year and the WFA is too big in the middle distance races... the longer the race the bigger the WFA

Hong Kong Mile at the end of the season would be right up his street.

Wont have to improve much to win it from the front.

Joker, alot of the 3yos are far less exposed than their older rivals and are open to alot more improvement as they gain experience. I don't think it is solely to do with the wfa allowance. btw don't forget wigmore was officially 7lb well in.

You see horses like Arctic Cosmos this season winning a 3yo hcap off 78 and then next time finsihing 2nd in a G2.

So I think it would be unwise to dismiss Capponi's effort as being down to just a favourable 9lb wfa allowance.

For me the main reason 3yos do better at this time of year is they are taking on older exposed horses who the handicapper has a good hold on. Whereas some of the 3yo only hcaps especially over 10f+ are full of horses who are lightly raced and have marks based on maiden form over shorter.

By the end of the season of course the handicapper will have caught up.
