Ive put this on here in case it fell of the page on the World Cup Page.Firstly,on form all South American Teams are suspect when dealing from balls from he wing.
Hursts Near post header in the 66 semi against the Argys,John Barnes two great runs down the wing and crossing[one converted, other hit defender on back of head]also give support to this theory.
Remember Germanys two goals from corners to level at 2-2 in the 86 final, and Brazil conceding one from a corner in the 98 final.More evidence from Brazil, they went out last time  to a free kick from the wing with Henri running round the back of the defence and putting it in.
When England lost to Brazil 2-1 in the Seaman disaster,we took a short Corner, and with the Brazilian defence moving out,we passed the ball back, and back till it reached our centre half standing in the centre circle, who duly pumped the ball down the middle to a standing all on his own  thankful Brazilian goalie.Daft or what?
In their semi,[against Turkey?],the opposition spent the entire match going down the middle and losing the ball. Two minutes from time, one oppossing player took off down the wing and crossed, unfortunately none of his teammates were in that half, altho entirely on their own the 3/4 defenders and the goalie left it to each other and mass panic ensued, resulting in one of the defenders hoofing it into the stands, and there they stood argueing furiously with each other!!!.
Why are managers missing this!!!,this and the tendancy for England to concede a goal just before Half-time,as against Brazil in the Seaman Fiasco, against the USA in the opening match,;on Wednesday we just about dealt with a cross on the stroke of Half Time, and remember the friendly with Mexico just prior to this Tounament?!!!!.Point being is that going in at 1-0 at half time is Psycologically much more desireable.
All South American teams can be stopped if you like France in 98 hunt in packs and tackle them half way into your own half and push them wide.
Unlike England, against Argentina, where we backed off them and eventually tackled them just outside the penalty area and gave away a free kick. From the free kick they scored!!.
basically you dont wait for them to put a move together.
And now,the England training methods, whats with the playing of Basketball?,and the latest mindnumbing method,Rugby!!!.What is the point of allowing players who have spent limited time together playing these games in training?,that and one player throwing the ball to another and him kicking the ball back into his arms?!!!!,er,excuse me but if i or anybody else had suggested this 20 years ago tey would have been laughed off the planet!!!!
In my next post i will deal with penalty taking and the correct way to kick a football[something that seems to have been forgotten].

It's all that religious mumbo jumbo, they can't stand CROSSES, just like DRACULA.
