Looks like she's Eclipse-bound with the hot forecast this week in Ireland. Really fancy her for this and 7-2 with the sponsors seems fair to me..

Why do you say she is Eclipse bound when she has ran two fine races on quick ground already this season .. ?

Surely it would be better to take on her own sex and pick up a Group 1 with a bit more ease ..

She's not quite good enough to beat the very best colts best to stick to fillies races there are plenty of them.

The Pretty Polly an ideal opportunity this weekend I would have thought, provided she is fit and well.

Only if its a poor field and run in a slow time, she is good but no champion.

i dont see any eveidence to suggest that workfoce the current favourite is a champion.

Workforce has done as much as could be asked at this stage of his life.

maybe . but he hardly beat much in the derby and was well beat in the dante.

Eclipse bound she is. Lets hope for some rain.

Dan, you cant really draw any conclsusion about Workforce not being a true champion yet, imo. His Dante run was magnificent given the circumstances.

As for turning the form around with F & G , well it was GF, and whilst he handles cut in the ground too it is certain Sariska enjoys it a lot more and is good few pounds better on it. 1 and half lengths is all she has to make up. Not much especially with soft ground.

i know . and ide say theres been very good reasons every time shes been beat . especially in the yorkshire oakls last year

Her form is top class wherever you look. She'll win more races no doubt about it.

unless theres some rain and the ground eases a little,,, no chance of running on that ground,, if the rain comes might run, but personally i dont think so,,

the arc the one for me, just about certain to get softish in france, ( apart from last year), shes got a great chance , already had a few ew"s,

Genuine question as I've forgotten, but what was the excuse for the 10lbs and a beating that Dar Re Mi gave her last year?

Was it only the ground? or was there something else?

I'm not really inclined to believe that she's at her best on soft. She did seem to like the ground in the Curragh last year but maybe it was just that all the others (especially Midday) hated it?

Anyway she's never likely to encounter that kind of ground again so maybe they should just see her as one who ran arguably her 2 finest races on GF.
The Pretty Polly would have been a penalty kick.

Yes it was the York quick ground as well as being in season iirc. Btw, the wfa is there for a reason.

They will run as long as the ground is safe (rain due on Weds) as its an open renewal with no star and an ideal chance to beat the boys in a big one before a midsummer break ahead of the Arc

Going to need more than one rain shower imo for them to run. Trainer says she has already had two runs on proper GF this season and they wouldn't be keen to do so again bearing in mind the later targets.

when she was beat in the yorkshire oaks she came into season right before the race and was kicking out at the stalls handlers something she never does

sariska is best on good to soft ground nothing softer .
as for it being soft ground on arc day when will people learn .i have been at the last 7 arcs and have only seen soft ground once .that was when hurricane run won it.
its usually on the fast side on arc day.

good decision imo. although i wouldnt have thought mile and a quater against that opposition on quick would have been much of a problem. but great to see there looking after the filly

come on, Sariska plainly wants soft ground. Given at least good to soft she is top notch group 1 material. On good or quicker she will always fall short imo.

falls short on quick ground ?

She won the Oaks on quick ground. She won the Musidora on GF, and she won just recently at York on GF. She handles it.

Clearly, they dont want to give her too many races on GF, which is the right thing to do.

And i've no idea why people keep knocking her either tbh. She has top class form everywhere you look against Colts and Older Horses.

It's a shame she misses the Pretty Polly this weekend because it's a very poor race for a Group 1.

Not to mention placing in the Champion Stakes on GF .. again behind Colts.

Sintonian, as her biggest cheerleader, what do you think of the above?

I'm not knocking her, I think she's a fantastic horse but I'm just not sold that she's absolutely top class no matter what ground there is. Tbh I think she'll retire without having beaten Dar Re Mi or Fame and Glory. No disgrace in that as they're both very very good horses.

Her Irish Oaks was just a really bad race if the only other decent horse in the field Midday didn't handle the ground. Maybe she's just versatile and not an all in proposition in GS or worse.

%u20AC120k prize money tomorrow and 10  lbs in hand, I just don't like the decision to go after colts before the Arc.
