Actually it is my honest view as a Betfair customer that Betfair profits would be better used in a systematic way to contribute to the levy to help prevent British horse racing going down the plug hole.

The joys of Royal Ascot disguise a major problem.

Many race meeting are of such poor quality and have such miserable prize money that its a matter of time before the sport goes right down the pan.

Next year prize money is set to fall by another 20%, and that is at a time when some meetings contain 4 claimers a veterans handicap sprint and a seller.

Sorry betfair. The freebies for us customers are a bit hollow. nice publicity, provided by nice profits, very latgely based on a sport that there is no real contribution from Betfair for its upkeep.(Not withstanding the sponsorship of a few races through they year).

Just a thought.

It is reassuring to think that premium charges are being spent wisely.
