You would expect the failures to outweigh the successes by a good amount....we're not being asked to take odds-on Strong Suit, he is still 10s. Tbh, not sure re Hawk Wing over the winter. All the best. |

Judging by his trainer's comments SS will be having a pretty arduous 2yo campaign. While accepting the fact (stated by several who unlike me actually understand more than the absolute basics) that he is bred to be more that of a 2yo that a 3yo under those circumstances it is surely likely that he will be trained to the minute for the guineas rather than leaving anything in the locker for later targets.

Wise words I think there, tbh I'd be looking at backing him if he was 10/1+ but no chance of that and can't see a reason to back him at the price now when so much can change and the race is still 9-10 months away.

I agree with Ben. I like the horse a lot but can't back him at current prices. Same applies to his stablemate Memory for the 1000 Guineas: 14/1 is simply too short at this stage, regardless of what she achieves in the Cherry Hinton tomorrow. There seems no point in getting involved when all the value has been squeezed out of the market.

For all you know he might be 12s on the day of the race at best. There's still this season to finish, then anything can happen 2-3, added with the foreign horses factor and weather conditions. Ridiculous prices on the pair of them.
