Had a quick scan and can't see a thread, if I've missed it, can someone ttt it, if not we'll use this one.

Firstly - I see Ladcrooks, Poers, spoils and Vc are all still offering prices on West Ocean - she is not coming over, and was confirmed as much on 1st june!! [>o]

Kinsale King looks a very solid 10/1 shot. King Kieren rides.

Asset aint the worst e/w poke in the world. placed in last three Royal Ascots he's ran in. Third in this 3 years ago and light year's run was a monster having to give High Standing the best part of a stone

Starspangledbanner, cracking first run for the yard and will meet all his rivals from there on better terms at Ascot.  Looks as if he could have done with the run at York so improvement sure to come from that effort and, if it does, he looks certain to be involved in the finish of this race.

Sint - KK is a very progressive sprinter, won fto in G1 company in Meydan. Has won his last 4 on the bounce. Reportedly loved grass when run on it at home.
He def runs, KF confirmed, and was out to Belmont to ride him, just looks to be a quality American sprinter, well prepared and still a decent price.

I can't change my selections now. Originally mullionmilesanhour, and added Starspangledbanner some time ago.

I reckon they are going to sign Starspangledbanner to the King Stand for some reason.

Wouldn't give up on Mullionmileanhour yet, even though the last run was v. dissapointing and he's had his problems in the past.

They have already done up all the media and advertising for SSB's stud career, he's going to the Jubilee.

How did you gather from the stud ad that he was def going for the GJ????

Kinsale King for me too.
Getting your head in front of Rocket Man makes you a very very good horse.

I guess the 10/1 is fair but obviously there are doubts.
Gone from Pro-ride to cushion, back to Pro-ride and then tapeta his last 4 races, won them all though. He's also never been on turf to the best of my knowledge, but he does seem pretty versatile.

That he's never raced the straight 6f is more of a worry. I couldn't see Sacred Kingdom being beaten last year and it was probably that and maybe the barging match with Ialysos that did for him.

That Fallon actually went out to the US to work him is pretty big too.

Just looking down through the market there isn't really another that stands out to me an an antepost bet, but will look again closer to the day.

kinsale king would be one of the best ew shots all year at 10s.race he won in medyan was worth 4.5m dollars!

Plenty of 10's still available, I've just backed him in an e/w double with Fleeting Spirit in the Kings Stand so far.
I'm pretty sure he was due to travel Tuesday so maybe worth waiting to make sure everything went ok before getting properly involved?

The sheet I saw said G1 winner from 1100-1600m.

King Stand being over 1000m...

Of course I am sure they would happily change that if he won the Kings Stand but everything mentioned in the press down here has suggested that the Jubilee is his target.

SSB is still in the King's Stand.
And as he has not yet won a 5f/1000m G1 they could hardly anything other than that on his provisional stud profile!
I don't think even Coolmore would go as far to say 2010 King's Stand winner... Laugh

The GJ does look the more suitable trip of the two without doubt.

I misread what he wrote, sorry, thought he was talking about KK, don't think he was in the King's Stand from the beginning thinking about it!

Stan Moore seems to think Starspangledbanner is going for the King's Stand as well. Markets seem to disagreee still though.

I don't think they will, but if they do go to the Kings Stand I will be mighty dissapointed.

Ideally the horse gets up on the speed finds his rhythm and then runs them ragged, best placed at 1400 for me and the stiff 1200 at Ascot should be perfect.

Over 1000m he will never get 200-400m to settle down, get comfortable and control the race.

Noseda leans towards Golden Jubilee for Spirit
Go Back
TRAINER Jeremy Noseda has still to decide whether his star sprinter Fleeting Spirit will line up in the King’s Stand or the Golden Jubilee next week.

The daughter of Invincible Spirit will be making her seasonal debut at Royal Ascot but she has a good record fresh and her trainer is pleased with her condition.

Last season Fleeting Spirit finished runner-up to Scenic Blast in the King’s Stand on her first run of the year before winning the July Cup at Newmarket.

Noseda said: “I am 90% certain that she will run in the Golden Jubilee but I shall be watching the weather forecast over the weekend and make a decision then.

“I am very happy with her and believe she is as close to her peak as she was for Royal Ascot last year.

“If she runs in the King’s Stand she will be partnered by Tom Queally and if she goes for the Golden Jubilee Frankie Dettori will ride.”

Fleeting Spirit likely to
run in Golden Jubilee

BY PETER SCARGILL 9:09AM 13 JUN 2010

JEREMY NOSEDA has yet to decide on which Royal Ascot sprint Fleeting Spirit will contest next week but admitted he is "90 per cent certain" it will be the Golden Jubilee.

Owned by Paul Roy and Andy Stewart, last year's Group 1 Darley July Cup winner has been placed behind Scenic Blast and Equiano in the last two runnings of the King's Stand Stakes at Ascot.

Noseda said: "I am 90 per cent certain that she will run in the Golden Jubilee but I shall be watching the weather forecast over the weekend and make a decision then."

Fleeting Spirit will be making her seasonal reappearance at Royal Ascot having not run since finishing seventh in the Breeders' Cup Sprint atSanta Anita.

Frankie Dettori, who rode the mare at the Breeders' Cup, will keep the ride if Fleeting Spirit runs in the Golden Jubilee but would be replaced by her former jockey Tom Queally in the King's Stand as Dettori is booked on Australian raider Nicconi.

"If she runs in the King's Stand she will be partnered by Tom Queally and if she goes for the Golden Jubilee Frankie Dettori will ride," Noseda said on his website.

"I am very happy with her and believe she is as close to her peak as she was for Royal Ascot last year."

Which is music to my ears H! Cool

Starspangledbanner, 2.5pts at 10s.
Fleeting Spirit, 1.5pts EW at 12s.

Happy with that, the foreign raiders do worry me a bit but i'm confident enough with my two.  The former should come on a lot from his first run for the yard and meets his conquerors from York on much better terms.  Fleeting Spirit clearly runs well first time up and probably needs the sixth furlong on what is hopefully to be pretty quick ground.
