Would love to see him at Melbourne later in the year tbh
They were my exact thoughts straight after the race. I think that it is highly unlikely thought unfortunately. Sheik Hamdan Al Makhtoum doesnt send them to Australia whilst under the care of a UK trainer. Possibly transferred to an Oz trainer and prepared for the race next year?

"Connections of Tactic will discuss whether to supplement the four-year-old for the Gold Cup following his stunning performance at York.
It would cost £25,000 on June 11 to add Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum's gelding to the stayers' championship at Royal Ascot six days later.
But it looks like being considered after John Dunlop's charge put up an amazing display to win what looked a competitive Listed race by 14 lengths."

Am I the only one that thought he was massively flattered by the proximity of his victory at York?
He has often travelled well into his races before finding less than expected (see his run behind King Of Wands last month at Ripon for an example) and I think he was helped hugely by the three Godolphin horses all running abysmally, while Caracciola was never travelling for whatever reason, and it's possible that Aajel found this coming too soon after Ascot (not stood up to too much racing throughout his career).
Then the horses who did run up to their best are either regressive or just useful sorts on their day who are exposed at this level i.e. Macarthur, Starfala and Munsef. Tactic may well have improved for the gelding operation over the winter, but I just cannot believe that he has improved that much, and his next run will tell us a lot more IMO. I still doubt his resolution in the heat of battle, something wasn't tested at York due to the above reasons.

Tactic only improved 3lb on rpr from his defeat by KOW, posting a 105 topspeed. This is proof enough that the race fell apart at York and will ensure that Tactic starts at prohibitive odds nxt time

i) think you need to look up definition of proximity ii) Caracciola is about 80 now (possible reason)

Tactics last run was one of the most remarkable performances of the racing year. Cream of the Crop, suggests that if wins his next race by 14 lengths he may consider backing him. If he does succeed in winning his next race by that many lengths, especially if its in the gold cup, god alone knows what bookmakers would price him on his next appearence, 10/1 on, do you think? You've seen it, believe it.
