Not sure if this has broke anywhere but quite interesting, taken from filthy luca's website:
"Presvis was unlucky again in the Singapore International Airlines Cup at Kranji at the weekend but possibly wasn't quite as unlucky as he has been on other occasions this year. Obviously, the thunderstorms ahead of racing didn't help, as he is best on very fast ground, but the incident that really cost him his chance occurred at the first bend when he came together with Al Shemali and lost a shoe. He was always on the back foot after that, but he can't be said to have come from too far behind as the race was run as the winner Lizard's Desire made his move from the same position. Had Presvis had better luck in running in the straight he might well have finished third but he could never get any momentum up after getting hampered again and the position was accepted. The plan now is to give him a bit of a break and assess things, but it's in the back of our minds that he has had hardly had a race all year and that means we might well prepare him for a crack at the Eclipse at Sandown. "
Would be a very interesting runner and likely fav? Any thoughts.. mine being that if they do run I hope they don't continue to overdo the exaggerated waiting tactics, hold him up by all means but why lose 3 lengths each time?Be good to see him in England though.
would rather see him at Royal Ascot. Wherever he runs they need to give him a pacemaker. Have no doubt that in a truly run 10f G1 race he is different gravy, but all those overseas raids have largely proved fruitless because of lack of pace.

My thoughts are thanks a bunch for posting this here so the world and its wife can take the price on here and loyal readers of the website who've just got in from work have to grumble at the 3.5 left on offer.

Presvis win the Eclipse, are you mad? It would have to be a pretty poor race for him to be favourite let alone win it. If my memory serves the last race he ran in the UK was a Listed AW event and he was well beaten. Get real.

Class horse no doubt, but all these hard luck stories make him a very difficult betting proposition, especially considering how his price is always so short

I think long term his odds cover the hard luck moments, if he was to win his next start you'd be in profit again and you probably would be anyway if you ignored his prep races.
