DOTB has a decent outside chance. I don't think Fareer is exposed Plat - was making his seasonal reappearance in a G2 - was not fancied, and was wrong at the weights, with all the runners. He tracked Paco Boy(24lbs wrong) til the 1f pole then faded/blew up and was eased. If he comes on for that run he must have a big chance here. Is also 3/4 on GF.

Hope Cape Blanco runs well enough to give him a place in the Derby (backed him at 25s), but not expecting anything tbh, stables horses running as quick as turnip turns at the moment.

Gunny - he's becoming a cliff horse for me and he hasn't even fkn run this year!
Am on him for the Derby myself, but can't be backing him today given the stable form.

TD, re Cygnet. Nothing that I've heard but he's been a talking horse for a while and not really delivered so I'm prepared to take him on again until I'm proven wrong.

ok redal, gl. backed him last time and he was too bad to be true, so will wait till he shows more life before backing him again.
thoughts on the 2yo race at York today mate? Jarvis horse got some money on it, could be a decent maiden.

First day off in over a week so looking forward to getting into this today. It's not quite the jumps, but quality flat racing isn't a bad substitute.
1.40 Ishetoo 0.5pt e/w 16s - horse that has caught my eye a couple of times. Glad to see the forum give it a chance... 2.10 No bet but would love to see Midday gain revenge on Sariska. 2.40 Having been keen on Workforce, I've now wimped out of this bet. No bet. 3.10 Docofthebay 0.5pt e/w 20s - following the forum on this one. 3.45 No bet 4.20 Juliet Capulet 2pts win 13/2 - how this is so big is beyond me. 5f was too short fto, and the 2nd has since won. Don't think O'Brien wouldn't bring her over unless she was decent. 4.55 Mudawin 0.5pt e/w 16s, 0.5pt e/w 14s w/o favourite (Pat Power) - quite fancy the old boy to go well at the scene of past glories. The favourite could well p1ss this but 3/1 too short for me.
Newmarket 6.15 - Batgirl 0.5pt e/w 66s - beaten 4l by useful Party Doctor lto. Nice price to see whether that was a true reflection of filly's ability and should be ridden more prominently this time.
Good luck all

TD, the 2yo race. I would like to see a little bit of stamina in the pedigree over 6f at York. There are a couple of outsiders that do but the 3 with a hint of stamina but at shorter prices are Elzaam, Tinkertown and Juliet Capulet. Unfortunately they are 1-3 in the betting. Elzaam they like, Jarvis said they were going to run over 5 so he must have speed. Australian pedigree. Tinkertown has a fair bit of stamina, dam won over a mile. The O'Brien filly was in the Head Space race which impressed many 2yo judges. I'd imagine the Yorkshire trainers have been keeping some of their better 2yos for this race so a win for an Easterby, Fahey or Ryan horse wouldn't amaze me but the Jarvis horse for me.

I know that feeling big time mate. I had special duty to save me money and a future double or two hinged on here. I felt as if my betting career was over, then beepppppppppp stewards enquiry.

When i say betting career, i don't actually have a career in betting. It's just a weird phrase i use and i don't know why. Never had a 4 figure sum bet in my life, not even close to it.

Started dissapoiningly when Fol ran a stinker (was on its toes big time in pre parade ring and pulled up v quick after race :( ) and I backed Jackonet. However went to the owners and trainers bar that has been done out big time and is now awesome at York.
Had 2nd biggest bet of year on the fillies on Sariska and then Fareer landed the bet i put up last night. No joy in other races but a decent profitable day.
I thought the maiden winner (Elzaam) was awesome and would not be surprised if black type this year and next and an early guineas contender for me.
I dont think i have seen a derby winner today however.
