Looks like a weak G1 - difficult to oppose an unbeaten Andre Fabre horse.
By:
If it was soft I'd take him on with Court Canibal but not so sure, Chinchon to place could be the bet.
See Kasbah Bliss also runs tomorrow and possibly an interesting Oaks trial race. |

the delzangles filly for me
By:
Which one?
By:
Never mind ones a colt :D
By:
Cutlass Bay for me, I thought he won well the other day and as you say is favoured by the weights.
By:
Shalanaya is interesting though at a huge forecast price on zeturf apparently. Fabre had another big win today and his horses are going so well that I'll stick with CB.
By:
Darma wasn't entered up for her prep as expected. She seems very fragile
By:
Shalanaya very dangerous if they give her an uncontested lead - she was unlucky to be taken on by Queen Spumamatra in Japan and has top class form over CD so in with a real shot, don't think there'll be any 25/1 available though lol
By:
Have you heard anything about Darma Princesse?
Questarabad won nicely the other day by the way :-) |
By:
Very nice, Jumbo Rio deserves a race at Auteuil soon
By:
alaivan is entered in le prix amadou
By:
Yes Jumbo Rio ran really well. Probably earned more for finishing 2nd there than if it had won at home
By:
True, I think he probably doesn't quite get the 18f, even if they hack round for half the race!
By:
Good to see some Jumbo Rio fans out in force! I've done my absolute b*llocks following him this season. Some strange PMU dealing going on last Monday, drifted out from 33 to 50, is sent off at 17 and pays 6/4 the place!! God the French make life difficult. Questarabad looks very hard to beat, and Jumbo Rio won't have a big 5yo weight concession in the big one.
Ganay looks difficult, prefer to load up on Kasbah Bliss in the other race. |

prix amadou and prix ingre on 9 may, where do you get the entries from this early please?

Not heard anything about Darma as yet.
Surfing ran in a handicap hurdle but was well beaten on his seasonal return, was expecting him to turn up in the Prix Robert Hennessy next weekend but he's not in the entries. Did you ask me about a horse called Sweeny a few months back? She's She's been sold to race for Willie Mullins I think along with a few others (mainly AQPS horses). |
By:
ground is good

I forecast the prices last night, and the one I got the most wrong was Chinchon. Had it down as a 5/2 shot, not 11/2. Court Canibal makes some appeal.

Marmite said anything about Cutlass Bay redal?
By:
Long Run - no, doubt he'll stay 3m 5f anyway.
Denman - no Quevega - possible Jumbo Rio - yes - goes in the Grand Haies De Auteuil (French Champion) at 3m+ Hurricane Fly - possible for the 2m 5f Prix La Barka on GSDP day Alaivan - possible for Prix De Longchamp, Prix Alan Du Breil (G3 and G1) Pomme Tiepy - pretty sure she'll take up her usual GSDP engagement |

TD, just for you :-)
CUTLASS BAY (38) looked like developing into one of the top three year olds last year but suffered a minor fracture in one of his front legs. He was actually set to come back for the Grand Prix de Deauville and then the Arc at one point but was held back till the Prix d'Harcourt to give him more time to recover. Cutlass Bay won the Prix d'Harcourt narrowly but comfortably, extending his unbeaten record to four races. Next time out things are going to be tougher for Cutlass Bay because he'll be stepping up to Group 1 company for the Prix Ganay. He has been winning over the Ganay trip of 10.5f and less but is a mature, deep chested, long striding colt that's built and bred for every inch of a mile and a half (he's a full brother to the King Edward VII winner Boscobel). I spent a good deal of last season raving about what a good horse I thought Cutlass Bay was and how well he'd run to beat his stablemate Cavalryman. The Ganay will give us a chance to see just how good he really is. But if he loses while finishing strongly I wouldn't write him off as he may very well do better over a mile and a half. |

thanks mate.

Got a stat. Since 1980 there has never been an unbeaten winner of the Ganay.
Perhaps the only reason Cutlass Bay is unbeaten is that he hasn't been raced at the very top level? How good is that form vs Cavalryman? Thanks PDA. I'm going to Guineas Day and Champion Hurdle day in Pars, not sure about the Grand Steeple, same day as Kings Stand @ Royal Ascot and I'm going to have a large one on Overdose next week :) He's back on May 9 @ Berlin with Soumillon. Like Kasbah Bliss but too short at 11/10 considering he got stuffed in this last year. |

Still thinking about On Verra in the earlier race but I lost on her last time so don't want to chase losses.
